The nature of the work will evolve rapidly in the fast-moving environment but will involve:Backend software engineering to build and scale our core product infrastructureDesigning and building APIs and services to support product featuresMaintaining and improving performance, reliability, and scalability of backend systemsCollaborating with product and design to build customer-facing functionalityOperating and owning backend systems in productionResponsibilitiesBuild the core product, from APIs to agentic pipelines. Be independent and own major features through development and deployment.Operate, scale and extend our infrastructure. You'll be responsible for running your code in production.Work directly with customers to solve their problems. All team members participate in customer support in order to drive empathy for our users and help us build better products.Your Qualifications4+ years of software development experienceDeep customer empathy, including the desire to speak with customers and make product decisionsStrong ability to learn new technologies and be productive in unfamiliar domainsBonus pointsPreviously founded a startupExtra bonus for a dev-tools startupOur interview processCulture interview (20-min video call)We’re looking to learn about you, your skills and experience, and your motivation to join our team.Technical interview (take-home, 1 week to complete, 2 hours total)No LeetCode! Real-world problem solving in our coding environment. We try and make it fun.Debugging interview (40-min live w/ one of our engineers)You'll work through a set of debugging problems so we can learn how you reason.Founder interview (45-min)Meet with Han or Hahnbee!
