With the power of many curious minds together we can solve the worlds most complex challenges and deliver more impact together.Role description:Arcadis is seeking a Senior Bridge Engineer to deliver bridge projects for our Ohio Bridge Team. You may be based in any of our Ohio offices Columbus Akron or this role you will support a variety of projects within and outside of is an excellent opportunity to showcase your technical expertise and management skills as part of an industry-leading firm built on a culture of collaboration.In this position you will serve as a technical lead for infrastructure projects and direct the work of junior engineering staff and CAD technicians. You will work closely with other discipline leads to provide innovative solutions for our clients including state DOTs municipal entities and contractors.Role accountabilities:Serve as lead engineer for bridges and other structures including new construction inspection repair and rehabilitation projects. This includes leading assigning and reviewing work and providing technical guidance to the team.Collaborates with colleagues in other offices and different areas of expertiseReview technical packages as part of our internal quality program.Review technical packages from other consultants as owners representative.Deliver quality plans calculations and specifications on schedule.Complete bridge inspections and load ratings with associated reportsAssists in preparing proposals for various pursuitsAssist with preparation of scope and fee proposals for structures work.Represents the firm at professional organizations and conferencesQualifications & Experience:Required QualificationsBachelors degree in civil engineering or related field10 or more years bridge design experience5 or more years ODOT experienceRegistrations/Certifications required: Ohio PE or ability to obtain within 6 months of hire.A valid drivers license.Key AttributesExperience with AASHTO LRFDExperience with ODOT design criteria and standardsFamiliarity with structural engineering software packages such as: Bentley Open Bridge Designer MIDAS Civil AASHTO BrR Merlin-DASH and MathCADFamiliarity with CADD software packages such as: Bentley Open Bridge Modeler Bentley MicroStation Autodesk Civil 3D and Microsoft OfficeWork independently with minimal direction and oversight.Demonstrate excellent time management skills with the ability to work on multiple unique assignments simultaneouslyDirect and mentor junior level staff inside of the project teamDemonstrate excellent written and verbal communication skills with ability to effectively convey information to technical and non-technical individuals.Preferred QualificationsMasters degree in Structural EngineeringExperience with Design-Build projectsODOT Level 2 Bridge Inspection CertificationWhy ArcadisWe can only achieve our goals when everyone is empowered to be their best.
