Dont delay plug in today for an inclusive meaningful career in power distribution transmission engineering design technology or innovation at Mesa Associates Inc.Mesa is seeking a motivated Civil/Structural Engineer (510 years experience) to join our civil/structural team supporting substation and utility this role you will perform structural analysis and design of substation steel and concrete elements (transformer and equipment foundations control building foundations oil containment cable trenches support structures steel framing and switch rack design) prepare calculations and sealed design deliverables develop construction drawings and specifications and review shop drawings. You will apply relevant codes and standards (ASCE 7 ACI AISC NESC/IEEE as applicable) use industry software (e.g. RISA/SAP2000 AutoCAD/MicroStation/Revit) and coordinate closely with internal project managers electrical engineers contractors and utility clients to support timely constructible designs.The ideal candidate holds a B.S. in Civil/Structural Engineering (M.S. a plus) has 510 years of relevant experience (utility/substation experience strongly preferred but not required) and has PE licensure. Strong technical writing organization and communication skills are required along with a proactive approach to problem-solving and the ability to work both independently and in multidisciplinary teams.
