Job DescriptionJob DescriptionSenior Complex Litigation Attorney - New York, NYA nationally recognized defense litigation firm is seeking a skilled Senior Complex Litigation Attorney to join its New York office. This is a long-term opportunity for an experienced attorney with 8+ years of defense litigation experience, particularly in areas such as personal injury, general liability, transportation, and catastrophic injury.The ideal candidate will be comfortable managing a complex litigation caseload independently, from inception through resolution. This includes trial preparation, court appearances, mediations, depositions, and collaboration with senior attorneys and partners. The role offers direct client interaction and the chance to work with high-profile national clients in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.Responsibilities:Manage all phases of litigation, including discovery, depositions, motion practice, and trial preparationRepresent clients in court proceedings, mediations, and settlement negotiationsDraft pleadings, motions, and legal memorandaProvide strategic guidance and regular updates to clientsCollaborate with colleagues and clients to develop case strategiesMentor junior attorneys and contribute to team developmentQualifications:JD from an accredited law schoolAdmitted to practice in New York8+ years of defense litigation experience, ideally in personal injury, transportation, or general liabilityStrong written and verbal communication skillsProven ability to manage complex matters and build strong client relationshipsFirst-chair trial experience a plusLegal project management experience preferred
