Senior Construction EstimatorCompany:The Boeing CompanyBoeings Global Real Estate and Facilities (GREF) Projects Assets Construction and Engineering (PACE) Center of Excellence (COE) organization is currently seeking a talented and motivated Senior Construction Estimator to join our Estimating Team.This role is pivotal in developing and communicating strategic construction budgets and forecasts to our Enterprise Teams for infrastructure planning project negotiations and market transparency. The ideal candidate will support and collaborate with Global Real Estate and Facilities encompassing planning construction management asset management and long-range business planning.This role is available at any of the following Boeing sites: Auburn WA; Berkeley MO; El Segundo CA; Everett WA; Hazelwood MO; Huntington Beach CA; Mesa AZ; North Charleston SC; Renton WA; Ridley Park PA or Seattle WA.Position Responsibilities:Estimate Support:Partner with Global Real Estate and Facilities stakeholders (planning construction management asset management long-range business planning) to translate program requirements and project scopes into consistent cost assumptions and budgetary estimatesProduce clear timely and audience-appropriate reporting and presentations that summarize budget vs. forecast vs. actual performance drivers of variance and implications for planning and negotiationsProvide subject matter expertise for project negotiations vendor/supplier bids and contract reviews to validate cost proposals and defend budget positionsLead post-completion cost reviews and lessons-learned reviews to refine estimating practices and update unit rates and assumptions for future cyclesStrategic Estimating:Maintain standardized estimating methodologies unit rates escalation indexes contingency policies and cost libraries to ensure consistency transparency and defensibility of budget and forecast inputsPerform scenario and sensitivity analyses to assess cost risk evaluate funding alternatives prioritize projects and support strategic decision making for trade-offs and phasingEstimating Tool Management:Maintain tools templates and workflows (cost models forecasting tools dashboards) that improve accuracy repeatability and transparency of construction budgeting processesMarket Research and Reporting:Monitor market conditions supply chain trends labor dynamics and commodity pricing; translate market intelligence into updates to escalation assumptions procurement strategies and positionsLeadership & Development:Collaborate with Estimating Team on identifying cost trends knowledge sharing and best practices to develop communicable dataCoach and enable project teams and regional partners on cost-estimating best practices budget stewardship and forecast discipline to improve portfolio-level outcomesBasic Qualifications (Required Skill / Experience):5 years of experience estimating costs for major building projects from construction documents engineering technical specifications and drawings5 years of experience partnering & working with cross-functional teams on projects and initiatives5 years of experience with Project or Construction Management3 years of experience in financial forecasting and developing Estimates at Completion3 years of experience using professional written and verbal communication skills to achieve deliverables25% domestic travelPreferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience): Bachelors degree or higher5 years of experience in program management and/or financial management/analysis5 years of experience developing and presenting recommendations project management5 years of experience collecting data from multiple sources performing analysis and presenting data3 years of experience in working with project finances forecasting construction budgets or participating in go/no-go scenarios.Experience with contract management invoice management/reconciliation and vendor managementExperience in alternative bid delivery estimating such as Design-Build CM/GC & CMARDrug Free Workplace:Boeing is a Drug Free Workplace (DFW) where post offer applicants and employees are subject to testing for marijuana cocaine opioids amphetamines PCP and alcohol when criteria is met as outlined in our policiesPay & Benefits:At Boeing we strive to deliver a Total Rewards package that will attract engage and retain the top talent.
