Role Description

End-to-end Project Data Center Scheduler (EPS) is responsible for establishment of preliminary conceptual schedules in accordance with specifications, processes, and industry best practices. Key points of emphasis include:

  • Drive adherence to WBS coding guidelines through proactive communications with GC, feedback on submittals and seeking support from execution / controls as needed.
  • Develop summary schedules that capture all scopes.
  • Coordinate with cross functional teams to ensure the schedule includes all scopes from inception through to project closeout.
  • Facilitate regular interactive planning sessions including all key stakeholders to review, receive input and achieve alignment with the schedule.
  • Support creation and improvement of schedule templates. Strict adherence to templates creation aligning with controls xfn teams and consistency across US regions.
  • Support development and implementation of IMS/MMS/PBS/PSE concepts, including early-stage schedule milestone development and management.
  • Analyze similar config inflight and as-built project schedules and provide optimization opportunities to new projects.
  • EPS is responsible to ensure the GC creates a fully integrated baseline schedule that meets contract scheduling specifications and industry best practices.
  • Facilitate sessions with contractors to ensure understanding of the appropriate specifications and requirements. Review, analyze and recommend solutions to any variances if required and establish methodology for confirming adherence.
  • Review, align and address areas of concerns on GC's Basis of Schedule document.
  • Identification of critical path / near critical paths and periods of peak activity or resource consumption.
  • In alignment with Specification, establish and agree on quantity and/or resource tracking, progress updates with GCs/subs.
  • Facilitate development and integration of detailed Cx schedule into the baseline schedule.
  • Manage review, acceptance and sign-off of a baseline schedule (I/FGMP) and support to the commercial planning process.
  • Ensure full integration/business alignment for all scope captured in the IMS (fEP interface, funding, LLE, etc.).
  • Proactively monitor and action GC compliance with the CPM spec.
  • Active communication and engagement in discussions, providing sound advice including lookahead and early warnings to include, but not limited to, Project Mgrs, controls regional schedule leads and controls Mgrs.
  • Fully responsible for auditing quality (e.g., DCMA 14 Point) and accuracy of the project P6 schedule at all times. Takes action to monitor, adjust, analyze, and continually improve the effectiveness of this as a project tool.
  • Analyze, review and identify project data requests from stakeholders.
  • EPS will monitor, validate and report project status to the project manager, key stakeholders and within central reporting systems per the defined processes and format. Examples include:
  • EPS will lead weekly meetings with the GC to review schedule performance, identify deviations, and ensure corrective actions are identified for action. As data becomes available, these reviews will also encompass quantity/cost/resource information sourced from the schedule, as required and agreed for each project.
  • Proactively Monitor progress of all activities, analyze critical and near critical paths, review out-of-sequence, concurrent progress and measure deviations from the baseline schedule.
  • Responsible for tracking progress of Owner and Contractor furnished off site equipment & materials. Assess impacts from deviations to a projects procurement plan.
  • Provide accurate site need by dates in accordance with program level equipment tracking methodologies. Support OFE / FIA reporting as requested.
  • Prepare independent bi-weekly schedule analysis and forecast the current project completion date, cost implications and risks involved.
  • Participate in regular status review meetings with contractors to accurately measure work-in-place, material procured and stored, etc. and estimate the monthly payment application, cashflow for the remaining scope.
  • Manage review, acceptance and sign-off of weekly/bi-weekly/monthly schedule updates.
  • Identify issues, perform analysis, and propose recovery and mitigation plans. Review Time-Impact Analysis and provide change recommendations if impacts cannot be avoided.
  • Create a milestone/critical task performance report and review with the project team, central services team and other stakeholders.
  • Review weekly schedule progress from a remaining time and physical progress/competition as well as performing field walks for schedule progress verification as requested.
  • Timely and accurate issuance of tactical reports (OFE, Narrative, Earned Value, etc) as requested by the client.
  • Review all schedule changes with the execution PM and OR. Identify areas for improvement, track completion and ensure processing through applicable reporting tools.
  • Produce project specific reporting as required by specification, Project Manual, and current processes. Create new reports as needed to proactively convey status, progress, risk to drive awareness and action. Ensure timely updates and accuracy of data in IMS as a critical system. Ensure stakeholder alignment of data prior to communication.
  • EPS will take a leadership role and regularly analyze the schedule, provide an independent analysis, verify completeness and accuracy, and confirm compliance with requirements and industry best practices.
  • Ensure contractor compliance with GMP contract specifications relating to cost and schedule management and reporting, and that exceptions or deviations are approved by DCS/regional PCG (client).
  • Review and evaluate resource profile and support cashflow analysis.
  • Take an active role in the Slipbug process by ensuring key schedule information is available to facilitate program decision making.
  • Engage in meetings with execution, front end planning, PM, OR, GC, supply chain teams that are related with schedule (E.g., Design syncs, OACs, etc.).
  • Support Supply Scenario Analysis (SSA) and other "what if scenarios" requested by the client.

Required Qualifications

  • Proficiency in scheduling and project control tools, particularly Primavera P6 is a must.
  • Strong skills in resource analysis, data analytics, earned value management, and sensitivity & risk analysis.
  • Data center scheduling knowledge is strongly preferred.
  • Experience with forensic schedule analysis and expertise in identifying and addressing project delays is preferred.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with diverse stakeholders.
  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, or a related field is preferred.
  • Proficiency in additional scheduling software and experience in related fields is an advantage.
