The Data Scientist will also work across the organization to support multiple programs. Will be responsible for input involving architectural guidance across multiple platforms.The Data Scientist at STS will:Work with stakeholders throughout the organization to identify opportunities for leveraging data to drive solutionsMine and analyze data from databases to drive optimization and improvementAssess the effectiveness and accuracy of new data sources and data gathering techniquesDevelop custom data models and algorithms to apply to data setsUse predictive modeling to increase and optimize customer experiences and other business outcomesDevelop testing framework and test model qualityCoordinate with different functional teams to implement models and monitor outcomesDevelop processes and tools to monitor and analyze model performance and data accuracySuggest technical and architectural guidance to projects and teams ensuring that new initiatives enable effective data reportingEnsure effective communication of user requirementsBuild data structures to support requirementsSuperb organizational skills. Must be motivated to learn and flexible to changeEducation and Experience:B.S Degree from an accredited college or university with a major in Statistics Mathematics Computer Science or another quantitative fieldAt least six (6) of experience manipulating data sets and building statistical modelsKnowledge and experience in statistical and data mining techniques: GLM/Regression Random Forest Boosting Trees text mining social network analysisExperience querying databases and using statistical computer languages: R Python SLQExperience creating and using advanced machine learning algorithms and statistics: regression simulation scenario analysis modeling clustering decision trees neural networksExperience analyzing data from 3rd party providers: Google Analytics Site Catalyst Coremetrics Adwords Crimson Hexagon Facebook InsightsExperience with distributed data/computing tools: Map/Reduce Hadoop Hive Spark DatabricksMust be able to work the hours of 8am-5pm Eastern Time regardless of your home locationRequired CertificationsNonePreferred CertificationsDatabricksSTS is committed to equal employment opportunity.
