Job DescriptionJob DescriptionSummary of Position:The Quality Team Lead supports the daily activities to support the quality processes and initiatives with the manufacturing environment. Reporting to the Quality Group Leader, this position acts as the primary point of contact for the frontline quality activities, ensuring compliance with company standards and customer requirements. The Quality Team Lead provides technical guidance to team members, facilitates problem-solving, supports inspections and audits, and drives adherence to quality procedures on the production floor. This role plays a key part in promoting a culture of continuous improvement and operational excellence.Corporate:Adheres to the HTGSS policies and proceduresLearns, demonstrates and upholds HTGSS Core ValuesComplies with all HTGSS Certification standards; Management System (TS16949), Environmental ISO 14001-2015 and Health and Safety ISO 45001-2018 policies and proceduresTreats all HTGSS team members with respect and professional courtesyAlways strives to maintain a positive work environmentManages the department budget efficiently as per approved annual budgetPerforms additional assignments / duties as assigned EHS:Adhere to all safety policies and proceduresComplies with all safety policies and 5S clean philosophy to maintain a safe, clean working environmentMeets company safety goals Duties and Responsibilities:Hold daily start-up meetings to cover company announcements, safety issues, quality issues/concerns, job assignments, training and other issues. Maintain confidentiality of all information regarding team members and all other issues as directed by management. Promote a proactive quality culture throughout the organization by training, coaching, and influencing teamsManage and maintain documentation and records related to quality assurance and control. (e.g. 3/5 panels, quality concerns, ASRS checklist and other reports as requested.)Audit team members’ skill records and ensure team members are being trained to and follow Standard Path of Inspection.Support Group Leader with day-to-day quality operations, including incoming material inspection, in-process control, and final product audits to ensure they meet the established quality requirements and standardsComplete inspections according to the quality management system / control plans /agreements with customersDeliver and support training programs to educate employees on quality awareness and best practices.Provides direction, development and leadership to floor associates.Review production schedules to assist Group Leader, Assistant Manager, and/or Manager with staffing requirements, work procedures, and duty assignments.Confer with Team Leads and Group Leaders to coordinate the operation of quality and activities within departments.
