Thats where you come in.About the team - We are seeking an exceptional Technical Program Manager (TPM) to drive programs at the intersection of Generative AI research and production-scale deployment. This role will focus on multi-agent conversational systems agentic AI architectures inference optimization and model pretraining/finetuning workflows. You will collaborate closely with world-class researchers engineers and cross-functional stakeholders to take cutting-edge AI models from concept to production while ensuring alignment with risk compliance and business objectives.Responsibilities: Program Leadership: Own end-to-end execution of complex AI initiatives from research collaboration to production launch.Multi-Agent Conversational Systems: Drive development and orchestration of agentic AI chatbots and intelligent assistants enabling scalable context-aware multi-agent interactions.Model Development & Optimization: Partner with researchers to manage pretraining finetuning and inference optimization efforts ensuring performance and efficiency at scale.Risk & Compliance: Collaborate with risk security and compliance teams to identify and mitigate risks associated with generative AI including fairness transparency and responsible use.Cross-Functional Alignment: Act as the connective tissue between researchers engineers product teams and executives ensuring clarity communication and measurable outcomes.Operational Excellence: Establish frameworks for experimentation evaluation and deployment of generative AI models. Track milestones dependencies and delivery.Innovation & Research Translation: Translate cutting-edge academic research into practical applications and drive adoption into production environments.Basic Qualifications:At least 7 years of experience in technical program managementBachelors degreePreferred Qualifications:7 years of experience designing and building data-intensive solutions using distributed computing3 years of experience in building distributed systems & highly available services using cloud computing services or architecture - preferably using AWS3 years experience building highly scalable mobile products & platforms3 years of experience with Agile delivery3 years years experience delivering large and complex programs - where you own the business or technical vision collaborate with large cross-functional teams secure commitments on deliverables and unblock teams to land business impactExperience in building systems & solutions within a highly regulated environmentBachelors degree in a related technical field (Computer Science Software Engineering)MBA or Masters Degree in a related technical field (Computer Science Software Engineering) At this time Capital One will not sponsor a new applicant for employment authorization or offer any immigration related support for this position (i.e. H1B F-1 OPT F-1 STEM OPT F-1 CPT J-1 TN or another type of work authorization).The minimum and maximum full-time annual salaries for this role are listed below by location.
