As a trusted Federal Subject Matter Expert (SME) youll lead electrical design across multiple concurrent projects collaborating with multidisciplinary teams and federal clients to deliver innovative sustainable solutions.Expect variety challenge and the opportunity to influence critical infrastructure. With approximately 20% travel for site visits and client engagement youll see your designs come to life and build strong relationships along the way.If youre passionate about engineering excellence and want to work on projects that truly matter Arcadis is the place for you.Role accountabilities:Lead electrical design teams and mentor junior staff to produce construction-ready design packages that clearly reflect design documentation and scope complianceDesign a variety of facilities focused on the industrial commercial and/or institutional sectors that may also include work with the Army Corps of Engineers (USACE) or the Naval Facilities Engineering Systems Command (NAVFAC)Take a leadership role in the project lifecycle including the development of project budgets proposals schedules staffing plans and resource allocationEngage in business development and client relationship building within federal state and local government sectorsEnsure compliance with federal and industry standards (UFC UFGS NFPA NEC NESC NETA ANSI IEEE UL UBC IEC CE EN)Undertake travel related to project work that may require overnight stays away from home. Travel is estimated to be at about 20%Required Qualifications:U.S. Citizenship (required for federal project work)Minimum 12 years of consulting engineering experience in facility design with extensive focus on federal government/agency projectsProven experience delivering IFC design packages for federal facilitiesBachelors degree in Electrical Engineering.
