Youll be responsible for utilizing accepted practices and standards to ensure that all designs meet the highest level of quality and safety. Apply today and make a lasting impact.What Youll Do:Develop project plans including project scope of work and WBS (Work Breakdown Structure) for complex multi-discipline-based substation Engineering projects and EPC projectsManage Substation project execution including project scope schedule budget and project resources including external vendors consultants and contractorsEffectively track and stabilize projects implement solutions to obstacles and ensure client goals are achievedAttend client meetings and communicate concerns and changes with the client to ensure a positive relationship and growth opportunitiesPrepare and review preliminary designsPrepare proposals including budgetary estimatesLead the development of plans specifications studies estimates material lists and other deliverablesEnsure team adherence to QA/QC programDevelop new or modify existing:Electrical layout/plan of substation equipment and structuresSubstation foundation layout/plan drawingsSection/elevation views from layout/plan drawingsConduit layout/plan drawingsSubstation grounding layout/plan drawingsControl building layout/plan and section/elevation drawingsLead mentor and help grow a team of engineers and designers:Manage day-to-day activities for your teamSet goals and expectations for each team memberAssist in annual performance reviewsAssist in recruiting efforts - posting job requisitions and participating in interviewsWhat Youll Bring:Bachelors Degree in Electrical Engineering8 years of direct substation experience in both physical and electrical engineeringProfessional Engineering license in any state and the ability to acquire further licensure in other statesA combination of education and demonstrated related experience may be considered in lieu of education and experience requirementsSolid comprehension and application of design software including MicroStation and AutoCAD and other 3D applicationsProficient with Windows-based software such as Word and Excel which are frequently used to develop project deliverablesAbility to learn and effectively utilize new design software programsAbility to work in a team environment with others including but not limited to Project Managers Engineers Designers and drafters in multi-disciplinary groupsStrong analytical and problem-solving skillsStrong attention to detail and work product qualitySalary Range:At Verdantas we offer comprehensive benefits packages for our employees. Actual salary is based on the circumstances of each position and candidate such as geographic location skills and certifications.
