JOB DESCRIPTION

The Senior Emergency Management & Security Specialists responsible for leading the organization's efforts to ensure operational continuity, emergency preparedness, and enterprise-wide risk preparedness. This job develops and implements strategies and tactics to protect critical infrastructure, minimize service disruptions, manage organizational risk across all functions, and provides training to staff on emergency management, security, and business resilience strategies, working under minimal supervision to promote a culture of protection, compliance, and business resilience.


  • Develops and implements emergency response plans and procedures in alignment with organizational standards.
  • Collaborates with cross-functional teams to enhance the organization's resilience approach to prevent, protect, respond and adopt/learn from disruptive events.
  • Collaborates with local, regional, and national organizations to enhance emergency preparedness and response capabilities.
  • Designs and implements training to promote a risk-informed culture across the organization.
  • Identifies, assesses, and monitors strategic, operational, financial, and compliance risks across the organization.
  • Monitors industry trends and industry activities to identify opportunities for proactive security initiatives.

  • A bachelor's degree or equivalent education and experience, plus 5-7 years of working experience.
  • Works independently with minimal supervision, faces difficult and complex problems, may influence others within the job area through explanation of facts, policies, and practices.
  • Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Office and other desktop applications as necessary.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Thorough knowledge of business English, spelling, punctuation, and arithmetic. Considerable knowledge of modern office equipment, practices, and procedures.
  • Ability to keep complex records, to assemble and organize data, and to prepare reports from such data.
  • Ability to compose and edit various types of business correspondence.
  • Ability to communicate information that requires some explanation or interpretation.
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with supervisors, coworkers and the public.
  • Must pass a controlled substance (drug) test for employment


Compensation details: .74 Yearly Salary
