Senior Experimental Test PilotCompany:The Boeing CompanyBoeing has an exciting opportunity for an autonomous aircraft Senior Experimental Test Pilot to join our MQ-25A Stingray test team in Berkeley MO or Patuxent River MD. As an MQ-25A Air Vehicle Pilot (AVP) you will be on the leading edge of Developmental Test operating the Navys newest Unmanned Aircraft System (UAS) as it enters ground and flight test. As Pilot-in-Command you will be responsible for planning and executing various ground and flight tests to bring a critical capability to the carrier fleet safely and efficiently. You will provide support and mature guidance to a professional team of aircrew and engineers for the EMD test phase and beyond.This position will require proof of FAA Second Class Medical certificate and appropriate FAA Airmen certificate prior to starting in this position.Position Responsibilities:Serves as Pilot-In-Command for MQ-25A air vehiclesPlans and conducts engineering and experimental test flightsSupports requirements development acts as subject matter expert on all performance aspects of aircraft design PVI development and assessment subject matter expert for flight test activities to include operating limitations development safety planning flight test planning test card development test execution and reportingPlans and executes ground tests and flight tests for experimental and production aircraft to determine system functionality handling quality performance flutter tests loads tests structural integrity and performance of flight control systems vehicle management systems missions systems and weapon systemsDevelops and coordinates flight test plans procedures and techniques to achieve qualification or certification and meet test plan objectivesWrites technical reports and flight reports and provides input for developing and modifying flight manuals and related documentsEvaluates flight data (e.g. system performance aircraft handling equipment function) and participates in aircraft and aircraft system design to recommend changes to design based on operational considerationsCollaborates on marketing evaluation and demonstration activities for customersAssures flight activities comply with regulatory standards and company policies and proceduresWorks with government representatives and customers to resolve issuesBasic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering Engineering Technology (including Manufacturing Technology) Computer Science Data Science Mathematics Physics Chemistry or non-US equivalent qualifications directly related to the work statementFAA Commercial Certificate or FAA ATP with appropriate endorsementsAbility to obtain an FAA Second Class Medical certificate1000 hours of aircrew time in relevant aircraft to include fighters trainers carrier aircraft and/or military UASAbility to comprehend and effectively communicate complex ideas and flight test concepts in writing and orallyPreferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience): Test Pilot School (TPS) GraduateBachelors Degree or higher in EngineeringExperimental flight test experienceFAA type rating in Beechcraft King Air C-12 or other King Air variantsCivil Aviation ExperienceDevelopmental flight test experienceUAS flight test and/or operational experienceUS Navy carrier aviation experienceDrug Free Workplace:Boeing is a Drug Free Workplace where post offer applicants and employees are subject to testing for marijuana cocaine opioids amphetamines PCP and alcohol when criteria is met as outlined in our policies.Shift:This role is primarily first shift; however there may be additional shift requirements to support program objectives.Travel:This position may require travel 25% of the time.Pay & Benefits: At Boeing we strive to deliver a Total Rewards package that will attract engage and retain the top talent.
