Location: Houston, Texas -Hybrid work environment (2-days in the office each week)

Travel: 30% as necessary

Reports to: Vice President, Marketing

Direct Reports: This is a hands-on individual contributor role, supported by internal stakeholders and external vendors.

Employment Classification: Full-time, Salary Exempt

Range: $95,000 - $125,000 base salary + discretionary annual bonus program

The Opportunity

The Senior Field Marketing Specialist will build and scale PCS Software's field marketing activities as a core revenue growth engine. This role sits at the intersection of Marketing and Sales, turning in-person engagement into measurable pipeline acceleration across the freight and logistics ecosystem. This role allows sales to penetrate named target accounts, influences active deals, and expands long-term customer relationships. You will own the execution behind regional activations, major industry conferences, and the PCS Customer Summit, ensuring every investment in the field delivers measurable business results.

Measured quarterly and requires strong command of CRM campaign attribution, opportunity influence, and event-sourced pipeline reporting which include:

Responsibilities
  • Build and lead PCS's field marketing program as a core growth engine, aligning regional execution with sales priorities, ABM strategy, and revenue targets.
  • Manage the strategy and execution of PCS's event portfolio, including major industry trade shows, regional activations, executive dinners, customer roundtables, and the PCS Customer Summit.
  • Partner tightly with Sales and Marketing to drive pre-event outreach, target account meeting strategy, onsite execution, and post-event follow-up that accelerates active opportunities.
  • Develop high-impact regional engagement plays that strengthen relationships with mid-market fleets, increase credibility in key markets, and generate measurable pipeline contribution.
  • Build and maintain relationships with trade associations, industry communities, and strategic partners, expanding PCS's presence and influence across the freight and logistics ecosystem.
  • Lead event activation and onsite experience design, ensuring PCS shows up with a clear point of view, strong customer storytelling, and differentiated product positioning.
  • Event contracting and procurement including managing event budgets, sponsorship investments, MSA/SOW review, purchase order approval process, and vendor relationships with discipline, negotiation strength, and clear ROI accountability.
  • Responsible for all event logistics and vendor production (booth build, shipping, lead capture tools, A/V, signage, contracts)
  • Measure and report performance across field initiatives, including engagement, meeting volume, pipeline influence, and revenue attribution.
  • Capture market and competitive insights from the field, bringing customer feedback and industry signals back into Marketing, Sales, and Product strategy.

Requirements: Required Experience, Core Competencies, and Skills
  • 7+ years of B2B marketing experience, with a proven record leading field marketing, event marketing, or regional demand generation programs tied directly to pipeline and revenue impact.
  • Deep experience partnering with Sales and BDR teams, aligning field activity to target account strategy, meeting goals, and deal acceleration.
  • Strong ownership mindset and professional presence, with the ability to represent PCS confidently with customers, prospects, partners, and industry leaders.
  • Expertise in building high-impact events, from regional activations and trade association partnerships to major trade shows and customer conferences.
  • Disciplined budget management and ROI accountability, including sponsorship evaluation, vendor negotiation, and performance reporting.
  • Ability to balance strategic planning with hands-on execution, thriving in a fast-moving environment with multiple events and priorities.
  • Experience in transportation, logistics, or freight technology is strongly preferred, with an understanding of the mid-market fleet audience and the realities of the industry.
  • Solid project management skills, preferably experience using
  • CRM experience. (Salesforce or equivalent) ABM platform experience. Marketing automation experience. (HubSpot, Marketo, etc.) Attribution/reporting tools experience.
  • Expert skills in MS Office Suite, including Excel, SharePoint, and executive dashboards (Power BI related data).
  • Early adopter to AI tools and willingness to think outside of the box to do more with less utilizing technology.
  • Outstanding communication skills with the ability to confidently and easily present project plans, outcomes, and ROI to C-suite executives and team members.
  • Willingness to travel up to 30% of the time to support PCS's presence at key trade shows, customer events, and regional engagements.

Education Requirements:Bachelor's degree in marketing, Business, Communications, or related field required. MBA preferred but not required.
