If you are passionate about sorting out complex software architecture decisions working across multidisciplinary teams and shipping great software this could be a great role for you.What will you doThis is a high-impact role that comes with lots of autonomy and requires a self-driven collaborative person. You will be focused on owning major components of our application architecture and should be able to:Work closely with product management to architect & implement novel solutions for hardware engineersImplement solutions that cross front-end back-end and infrastructure teamsEngage with open-source communities used in our software to upstream relevant changes and influence key decisionsOwn the software delivery process for the team identifying and implementing possible improvementsMaintain a high level of technical quality through both process and mentorshipExample projectsOptimize delivery & rendering of complex CAD documents (100k elements)Implement a 3d rendering engine for PCBsDesign scalable APIs and data models for CAD documents stored in Git repositoriesOur stackGitea application soft forkPlaywright for e2e testingGitHub actions for CI/CDDocker Swarm & Terraform for deploymentAWSPostgres DBExpectationsOur ideal candidate should have the following:5 years of software engineering experienceBachelors degree or higher in a technology-related fieldProject management skills with ability to lead and collaborate with varied stakeholders from engineers to customers to move projects forwardExperience managing software projects using tools such as JIRA Notion or a similar issue-tracking systemCan think in terms of the big picture but deliver on the detailsAbility to manage ambiguity gracefully autonomy and confidence in being self-directedRelevant skillsYou dont necessarily have to be proficient in all of these but the more you know the better:Go TypeScript Vue and PythonCommon Web Architectures interfacesFamiliarity with low-level Git commands and data storageDocker and KubernetesHow to Stand Out If you believe youre an excellent fit for this role wed love to see an example of your work.
