Senior Government Relations SpecialistCompany:The Boeing CompanyThe Boeing Companys International Operations and Policy (IO) team is seeking a Government Relations Specialist to join their team in Arlington VA.The IO team is responsible for engaging with U.S. and foreign governments business associations and customers in Washington D.C. to advance Boeings international sales and global market this role you will support the teams global defense portfolio.The ideal candidate will have working experience in the U.S. government and with U.S. foreign policy in particular Foreign Military Sales (FMS) addition the candidate should have excellent writing skills and the ability to communicate complex information effectively and under tight deadlines. Position Responsibilities:Lead internal coordination on and project management of defense advocacy cases Congressional Notifications and policy licenses.Support the Latin American portfolio by monitoring regional developments researching and analyzing key policies and potential business impacts and coordinating with business unit sales teams on priorities.Prepare briefing memos background materials and presentations for internal and external engagements.Draft correspondence and communication materials including reports advocacy letters and meeting requests. Provide administrative support to the IO team including scheduling meetings organizing files and maintaining databases.Monitor policy and security trends current events and developments in select regions and countries; analyze impact on Boeings international business operations and strategic objectives.Coordinate with business and functional partners on messaging and engagement strategies to support Boeings international sales campaigns and policy positions.Track Congressional notifications Committee hearings and proposed legislation as it relates to the defense business and international defense sales.Participate in training and professional development opportunities to enhance skills and knowledge.This position is expected to be 100% onsite in Arlington VA. BasicQualifications (Required Skills/Experience):A Bachelors degree or higher3 years of experience with Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook Word PowerPoint Excel).3 years of experience in excellent research and analytical skills with attention to detail and the ability to convey complex information clearly.Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced team-oriented environment and manage multiple tasks effectively.Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):3 years of previous experience in a U.S. government agency or related environment.Familiarity with FMS program U.S. foreign/defense policy and commercial advocacy.
