Job Title: Senior Group Manager (Logistics) - Procurement ServicesLocation: RemoteEmployment Type: Full Time Industry: ProcurementExperience Level: Senior About the RoleWe are seeking a Senior Group Manager (Logistics) - Procurement Services (Future Opportunities)  to join our team and contribute to our client dedicated procurement service delivery team responsible for co-leading (together with client) Logistics category planning and strategy development benchmarking collecting market intelligence managing stakeholders and developing project pipelines. The ideal candidate will possess the ability to lead the clients defined strategic sourcing execution process including building cost models designing and launching of RFIs/RFPs evaluating bids planning and executing negotiation strategies and making award recommendations. Additionally this role may be responsible for leading a team of 1-2 offshore resources. Key ResponsibilitiesDrive year-over-year savings while ensuring quality and service level requirements are met.Frequently interact with senior members of the clients organizationLead and participate in discussions across levels and cultures.Create a positive work environment and fostering cross-functional and cross-regional collaboration.Develop medium to long-term category strategies for a variety of Logistics sub-categories.Develop and execute sourcing strategies through the use of the clients strategic sourcing process. Identify cost savings through negotiations event driven activities and alternate sourcing strategies to achieve assigned cost saving goalsLead commercial negotiations and drafting contractsManage overall supplier relationships including supplier performance capability development risk mitigation cost savings and quality improvements.May manage the teams objective setting performance career growth training and competency developmentAct as the escalation point for the source to contract (S2C) team communicating and resolving operational issues and escalating to the Regional Delivery Lead as necessary.Lead Category Managers from 3 other regions to develop share and implement best practices and where appropriate leveraging market intelligence to drive innovative regional and global category strategiesManage 1 to 2 off-shore direct reportsQualifications : Required Qualifications and  Preferred QualificationsHands-on knowledge of Logistics sub-categories (including ocean freight road freight warehousing 3PL services)Awareness of Logistics industry key suppliers major trends cost drivers and negotiation leversDeep understanding of strategic sourcing methods and approaches and an ability to apply various concepts to category-level activities at the clientAbility to determine the appropriate procurement strategy for assigned categories and business requirementsAbility to draft simple to complex contractual agreementsExcellent written and verbal communication and presentation skillsExcellent problem-solving skills and the ability to provide custom solutions to address the clients challengesAbility to manage and prioritize multiple projects and initiatives simultaneouslyStrong leadership skills including ability to motivate and manage peopleProficiency using Microsoft Office tools such as Excel Word and PowerPointAbility to leverage analytical tools such as Power BI AI Python etc. to conduct analysis on logistics data deriving insights to inform category & negotiation strategies as well as drive process improvementsAbility to manage the complexities of the client service environmentBachelors Degree MBA preferred10-12 years of work experience strategic sourcing and category management6 years of experience with Logistics and related sub-categoriesBusiness Fundamentals:Excellent written and verbal communication skillsDemonstrated teamwork and team leadership capabilitiesClient Services CapabilitiesStrong customer service orientation including demonstrated issue resolution and relationship management skillsAbility to learn and master client specific processes terminology political environment systems and unique requirements by various business groupsSolid decision-making ability using available facts in sensitive client situations Contract negotiation and draftingOccasional travel to customer sites for supplier business partner meetings etc.Additional Information : Compensation DisclosureThe base salary range for this position is $145K - $189K annually. This range reflects the base pay that we reasonably expect to offer for the role across our hiring locations.Final compensation will be determined based on a combination of factors including but not limited to:Geographic location (state and city of residence)Overall professional experienceDirectly relevant experienceEducation and certificationsIndustry knowledge and expertiseSkills and competenciesIn addition to base pay this role may be eligible for performance-based bonuses or incentive pay or commissions which are not included in the listed base salary range.WNS complies with all applicable federal state and local pay transparency laws including those in California Colorado New York Washington and Illinois.
