DescriptionAs aSenior HSE&F Engineer you will serve as a functional HSE expert providing Safety Environmental & Facilities leadership and technical support to the Aerospace site in Memphis TN. The Sr HSE&F Engineer is responsible for managing and implementing the organizations Health Safety Environmental and Facilities programs to ensure compliance improve safety standards reduce environmental impacts and maintain a safe efficient working environment. This role involves collaborating with cross-functional teams enforcing policies conducting risk assessments and implementing preventative and corrective measures. The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented proactive and committed to promoting a culture of safety and sustainability. Travel: up to 10%You will report directly to our Senior Plant Manager and youll work 100% onsite out of our Memphis TN location. Relocation support may be providedKEY RESPONSIBILITIESHealth Safety and Environmental ManagementIdentifies areas for improvement defines effective strategies for change and drives actions to performance-based closure. May be responsible to create processes and plans with little oversightDevelops and implements site-level HSE programs procedures and training to ensure beyond-compliance performance with all regulatory and Honeywell HSE requirementsDevelop an HSE improvement strategy/goals including capital projects waste reduction HSE management system implementation and other continuous improvement projectsInterpret new and existing regulations develop plans and drive actions to ensure compliance with regulatory (Federal State County Local) and Honeywell requirements. This includes EPA OSHA etcMonitor plant operations to ensure capture of relevant data for monthly quarterly semi-annual and annual reports as required by site permits water solid waste etc. Develop an environmental improvement strategy including capital projects waste reduction HSE management system implementation and other continuous improvement projectsFulfills a leadership role in coordinating successful implementation of HS&E processes to achieve world class results and maintains site VPP statusDevelops working relationships with local regulatory agencies and serves as the site point of contact for all regulatory agency inspections and inquiriesDevelops and implements site emergency response plans and serves as the emergency coordinator for eventsLeads site level root cause incident investigationsAssists in developing and implementing corrective actions to resolve HS&E issues and tracks action items to closureSubmit monthly/quarterly/annual corporate reports per requirementsManages expenditures in accordance with budgetary process and manages site HSE projects to budgetInvestigate any unsafe behaviors/ conditionsIdentify cost saving initiatives/ processes with regard to health safety environmental and/or facility focusFacilities ManagementOversee facilities maintenance including HVAC electrical plumbing grounds and general upkeep to ensure a safe and operationally effective work environmentCoordinate with Internal contractor partners and external vendors and contractors to perform maintenance repairs and completion of facilities related capital projectsManage the HSEF Department budget for facility maintenance repairs and upgradesImplement preventative maintenance programs to reduce downtime and improve facility efficiencyDirects/ allocation resources to create workable plans in support of strategic directions and initiativesDetermines sequence and timing of multiple execution of tasks with mutual dependenciesQualificationsYOU MUST HAVE5 years of experience in a health safety environmental and/or facilities management role in a manufacturing industryIn-depth knowledge of HSE regulations (e.g. OSHA EPA) and industry standardsHigh School Diploma or GEDProven ability to conduct risk assessments and implement corrective actionsExcellent communication skills with the ability to train and influence employees at all levelsStrong organizational and problem-solving skillsWE VALUEBachelors degree in Occupational Health and Safety Environmental Science Engineering or other related fields1 years of HSEF Management experienceExperience in a manufacturing or related environment preferredExperience with OSHA VPP program or ISO 14001 preferred.
