ResponsibilitiesPeraton is looking for a Senior Infrastructure Engineer (SIE) to support DISA J6 - Joint Service Provider. The SIE is responsible for engineering network and storage systems supporting the J6 environment. Also responsible or the day to day operations of the infrastructure. The SIE should have expertise in designing and implementing scalable and resilient infrastructure solutions.Additional responsibilities include:Infrastructure Design Develop and design scalable reliable and secure infrastructure solutionsArchitecture Planning Create and main detailed architectural diagrams and documentationCapacity Planning Assess current and future capacity needs and plan for scalabilityImplementation and Deployment Oversee the deployment of new infrastructure systemsIncident Management Monitor infrastructure performance and health respond to and resolve infrastructure-related incidents and outagesOperate and maintain Big IP F5 partition to include architecture configuration and ongoing operational supportExperience with the configuration and operation of Cisco and Juniper switching and routing infrastructureBe familiar with Department of Defense network security requirements and be able to architect configure and operate enterprise security appliances (e.g. load balancers) to support the connectivity of distributed enterprise applications such as data backup and application load balancing requirements across the enterpriseEnsure proper configuration management of network configuration itemsProvide traffic engineering analysis and studies as directed by the program office; this will include such tasks as WAN optimization studies and network troubleshooting involving IP packet capture and analysisTroubleshoot storage replications issues link errors congestion and service interruptionsProvide customer network site surveysDevelop and manage the execution of detailed transition plans for projectsProvide input and detailed response plans for Risk ManagementDevelop and maintain Concept of Operations documentationParticipate in organization meetings town halls and similar events to integrate into the organization structureQualificationsRequired Qualifications:Minimum of 12 years with BS/BA; Minimum of 10 years with MS/MA; Minimum of 7 years with Ph.D 16 years of experience with HS.Must be a U.S. CitizenAbility to obtain DoD Interim Secret ClearanceExcellent verbal and written communication skillsNetwork ExperienceSAN ExperienceTroubleshooting ExperienceDesired Qualifications:DoD 8570 certs (Security ) at a minimumPeraton OverviewPeraton is a next-generation national security company that drives missions of consequence spanning the globe and extending to the farthest reaches of the galaxy. Salary is determined by various factors including but not limited to the scope and responsibilities of the position the individuals experience education knowledge skills and competencies as well as geographic location and business and contract considerations.
