You will play a key role in building and maintaining our Compute Platform both on the edge and in the cloud to orchestrate telemetry systems and other teams workloads. This position requires a balance of technical skills and innovative thinking to support our evolving technology stack.Responsibilities:Assist in the design and implementation of hybrid cloud/edge infrastructure solutions using both AWS services and our proprietary Smasher devicesContribute to the migration of scan processing from cloud to edge solutionsWork with the API team to enable new product featuresWork with the QA team to develop and maintain automation tools for scan quality assuranceContribute to the evolution of our computing platformAssist in expanding event-driven architecture solutionsCollaborate with senior team members and contribute to the teams technical growthQualifications:5 years of professional experience in software engineering with a focus on infrastructure and data systemsProficiency in Python; familiarity with Go is a plusKnowledge of AWS services especially ECS S3 and LambdaFamiliarity with infrastructure-as-code tools particularly Terraform and AnsibleUnderstanding of containerization technologies especially DockerGood Linux skills including bash scripting and command-line proficiencyKnowledge of networking concepts including DNS DHCP and TLS/HTTPSInterest in event-driven architectures and distributed systemsBonus Points:Proficiency with container orchestration technologies such as KubernetesExperience with messaging systems such as NATSFamiliarity with AgTech or precision agriculture domainsWhat Were Looking For:Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to independently research and implement solutionsExcellent communication skills and ability to collaborate across teamsAdaptability and enthusiasm for learning new technologiesWhat We OfferIn addition to the opportunity to apply and develop your skills toward key business objectives we offer an excellent compensation package including:Competitive base salary & bonusMedical dental and vision insurance401(k) retirement plan with company matchUnlimited PTOParental LeaveTraining & Development StipendBloomfield is an equal opportunity employer.
