Senior Systems AdministratorCompany:The Boeing CompanyThe Boeing Company is currently seeking a Senior Systems Administrator to join the team in Layton UT.Step into the role of Senior Systems Administrator where you will play a vital role in supporting multiple programs within the Boeing Information Digital Technology and Security (IDT&S) this dynamic position you will leverage your expertise in Linux systems to ensure the reliability and performance of our infrastructure across various projects.Your contributions will be essential in maintaining and optimizing our systems environments enabling our teams to deliver innovative solutions effectively. If youre passionate about technology and ready to make a significant impact in a collaborative environment we want you to join our team and help shape the future of IDT&S!Position Responsibilities:Oversees system integration hardware and software installation configuration and disposition of servers and workstations to support the architectureProvides complex problem resolution root cause analysis and technical support for delivery systemsParticipates in the design validation and configuration management of computing delivery systemsPlans and coordinates system changesAdministers user system access and establishes safeguards to protect information to meet security requirementsOversees activities to monitor system performance to support capacity planning backup and disaster recovery planningMentors leads and trains othersBasicQualifications (Required Skills/Experience):Active CompTIA Security certified (or similar certification meeting DoD Directive 8570.01 Certification Requirements) and/or the ability to obtain post-hire (required)5 years of experience installing configuring troubleshooting and administering current Windows Server 2022 - 2025 and Desktop Operating Systems - Windows 115 years of experience with designing & implementing Windows SystemsExperience troubleshooting operating system and installation problemsPreferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):Bachelors degree or equivalent work or military experience5 years of experience with a broad range of basic systems and application support5 years of experience with scripts to automate deployment and configuration of operating systems5 years of experience creating and maintaining multiple virtual servers based on VMware5 years of experience evaluating and effectively communicating system problems and resolution5 years of experience integrating security solutions (e.g. Splunk) into information systemsDrug Free Workplace:Boeing is a Drug Free Workplace where post offer applicants and employees are subject to testing for marijuana cocaine opioids amphetamines PCP and alcohol when criteria is met as outlined in our policies.Pay & Benefits:At Boeing we strive to deliver a Total Rewards package that will attract engage and retain the top talent.
