Job Description

Freedom Technology Solutions Group is seeking a Senior Software Engineer. Our mission supports the Government Corporate Management Services (CMS) by providing full life cycle support services through the sustainment, modernization, and transformation of the enterprise corporate applications. As soon as an employee enters a customer facility, they touch one of these applications which are critical to the daily functions of thousands of users across acquisition, business, finance, HR, training, recruitment, program management, security, logistics and more. Come join our diverse and growing team with lots of opportunities!Join a team developing a series of applications that are certified, trusted sources of critical mission data that will be used to answer mission and leadership questions across the Enterprise. Play a pivotal role in introducing emerging technologies into the Enterprise. This initiative is agency-wide, and its successful implementation will have a significant impact on daily operations. You'll have the unique opportunity to shape this effort from its inception, essentially building it from the ground up. It's a high-visibility project that will involve engaging with high-ranking stakeholders throughout the Enterprise. By joining as an initial architect, you can become one of the few subject matter experts (SMEs) for this new development effort.Review and critique code as part of a formal merge request processProvide useful feedback to other developers on best practices and potential optimizations to their codeProvide leadership with accurate estimates for feature requests/bug fixesBrainstorm ideas for code base optimizations and implementationsPerform web development using Oracle, NodeJS, Angular, and ExpressIntegrate applications with relational databases and SQL (Oracle)Use Git version controlDevelop and implement GitLab CI/CD scripts to automate code deployment and testingIncorporate unit, integration, and regression testingRequired Qualifications:TS/SCI with Polygraph A bachelor’s degree and twelve (12) years of experience in software development/ engineering in programs and contracts of similar scope, type, and complexity. Sixteen (16) years of software development experience may be substituted in lieu of a bachelor’s degree.  Experience configuring Mavenized Java Projects and ANT Scripting Understanding of Object-Oriented concepts and design patterns Experience with concurrency, threading, and parallelism as it relates to executing software  Understanding of the SDLC processes Experience with writing unit tests Strong systems and software troubleshooting skills and problem-solving skills  Experience with a Java development Experience with Oracle  Experience with Windows and Linux System Administration Desired: AWS experience  SQL development experience Experience in an agile development environment Experience working with the Atlassian Tool Suite Experience with domain driven design Experience with wireframing tools – Vizio, PowerPoint, Draw.io   Experience with or desire to learn CI/CD tools (integration and configuration) A willingness to learn new technologies and processes  Experience writing SQL and queries JEE Web Development  The estimated salary range for this position is between $200,000-$250,000 (annualized USD). This range reflects the typical pay for the role and is one part of the company's comprehensive compensation package.
