This role spans virtual and physical environments and requires expertise in HPC workflows, automation, system patching, scripting, and cloud technologies (AWS/Azure).The ideal candidate has strong Linux administration experience, thrives in engineering-driven environments, communicates clearly with technical and non-technical teams, and is passionate about automation and continuous improvement.Key ResponsibilitiesDaily TasksProvide CAE Linux User Support: incident resolution, troubleshooting, and technical guidanceInstall and update CAE applicationsMonitor and maintain the overall health of the CAE Linux environment across virtual and physical systems (on-prem & cloud)Weekly TasksDeliver status updates to team leadership on progress, pending work, and roadblocksMonthly TasksApply monthly system patchesEnhance and maintain automation for:Application installationNetwork storage managementUser account managementAnnual TasksCollaborate with CAE leadership and business stakeholders to improve the CAE Linux environment and underlying infrastructureWhat Youll Be Working OnCAE application installation and maintenanceHPC job submission script updates and optimizationSystem patching and maintenanceAutomation development (BASH, Python, Ansible, Terraform/CloudFormation)Required Skills & ExperienceStrong Linux System Administration experienceComputer-Aided Engineering (CAE) experience (pre-processing, post-processing, solving workflows)Familiarity with High Performance Computing (HPC)Experience with AWS and Azure cloud environmentsScripting: BASH, PythonContainers & Orchestration: Kubernetes, DockerAutomation Tools: Ansible, Terraform or AWS CloudFormationExperience with system patching and maintenanceStrong communication, self-motivation, eagerness to learn, and continuous-improvement mindsetDesired Skills3+ years of Big 4 consulting experience (preferred)Stable work history supporting large enterprise organizations
