OverviewHudson Valley Credit Union is currently recruiting for the position of Consumer Loan Processor. Primary Function: Process and fund direct and indirect consumer loan applications to meet the established credit union service standards and promote loan growth. Make process and procedure recommendations to improve efficiencies within the department in order to create a better overall experience for internal and external members. ResponsibilitiesReview loan packages and documents for accuracy, prepares final loan package for funding.Input and verify funding data into the consumer loans origination system to ensure the loan is funded in accordance with lending policies and procedures, disburses loan proceeds and performs associated system maintenance.Issue documents required by Truth in Lending and RESPA.Operate multiple computer systems in order to accurately respond to dealer, staff and member inquiries regarding existing and pending consumer loan applications.Perform follow-up on outstanding documents for existing consumer loan applications in process via Direct and Indirect channels to ensure member satisfaction.Recommend process and product improvements to enhance member experience and eliminate waste.Adhere to all Credit Union policies, procedures, and regulatory agency requirements. Participate in all required and recommended training and development including, but not limited to, Bank Secrecy Act training (BSA) and demonstrate attained knowledge. Participate on Credit Union teams, projects and strategic initiatives when the opportunity arises. Perform additional duties and special projects as assigned.Embrace and apply HVCU's guiding principles to all activities and responsibilities.
