Working closely with hardware engineers, you will translate sensor capabilities into robust ML models that perform in real-world conditions. Your work will directly impact Anduril's ability to deliver cutting-edge defense technology, with the opportunity to identify and develop novel ML applications across our product portfolio.This role is based onsite in our Mountain View, CA office.What You'll DoPropose and prototype innovative solutions to solve real-world problems, leveraging the latest state-of-the-art techniques in the fieldDevelop and maintain core ML pipelinesTrain and deploy deep learning models for real-time applicationsDevelop performance metrics for ML algosCollaborate cross-functionally with sensor, camera, and system teamsRequired QualificationsBS in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or related technical field + 6 years of working experienceOR Masters/PhD + 2 years of working experienceMust be a U.S. Person due to required access to U.S. export controlled information or facilitiesProficiency in Python and PyTorch or equivalent deep learning frameworksStrong technical foundation in machine learning principles and algorithms with at least 2 years of experience building real-world ML systems for image processingStrong foundation in computer vision fundamentals, including both classical techniques and modern deep learning approachesExperience with the full ML development lifecycle (data preparation, model training, validation, deployment)An understanding of how to optimize ML models for real-time or resource-constrained environmentsExcellent problem-solving skills and ability to work independently with minimal supervisionStrong technical communication skills to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teamsPREFERRED QUALIFICATIONSMS/PhD in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or related technical fieldExperience with real-time ML systems (e.g. mobile SoCs, model quantization)Solid understanding of sensors, optics, and camerasBackground in object detection, image enhancement, or similar computer vision tasksExperience with uncooled LWIR imaging or 3D imagingTrack record of deploying ML solutions in production environmentsUS Salary Range$240,000 - $318,000 USD The salary range for this role is an estimate based on a wide range of compensation factors, inclusive of base salary only.
