Job Description:The RoleAs a Senior Manager of Valuation Oversight in Asset Managements Treasurers Office you will be responsible for overseeing the valuation and pricing operations of the Fidelity retail and institutional funds and monitoring operational this role you will manage the valuation processes for privately-held and complex securities held across the Fidelity funds and accounts. You will coordinate the activities of third-party service providers administer daily control functions and perform market surveillance. You will support Fidelitys various valuation committees including preparation and review of activity and risk reports testing of fair value methodologies and coordination of fair value determinations and related documentation. You will think and work across Fidelity partnering with Fidelity Fund and Investment Operations and with our key Asset Management business partners in Compliance Risk Technology and the various Investment Divisions across the firm.The ExpertiseA minimum of 6 years industry or equivalent experienceA Bachelors degree in Finance/Accounting or equivalentSubject matter knowledge of technical accounting standards and generally accepted valuation methodologies for complex and alternative investments (private equity private debt direct loans real estate derivatives etc.)Prior experience preparing auditing private placement valuations or progression towards a Chartered Financial Analyst designation a plusKnowledge of operational risk management and internal controls governance and oversight processesAdvanced working knowledge of MS ExcelThe Skills You BringMotivated self-starter with the ability to work independentlyTeam player and willingness to collaborate in a team settingAbility to apply sound judgment to spot issues assess risks and identify items requiring attentionUnwavering commitment to accuracy quality and completion of tasksPossess excellent organizational operations and project/process management skillsExcellent verbal written and formal presentations communication skillsPossess strong research and analytical skillsAbility to make and effectively communicate decisionsAbility to prioritize multiple tasks/initiatives and handle time-sensitive activitiesThe TeamThe Asset Management Treasurers Office provides fiduciary oversight of Fidelitys funds shareholder activity and service providers. Placement in the range will vary based on job responsibilities and scope geographic location candidates relevant experience and other factors.Base salary is only part of the total compensation package.
