About The Role and Team:The Senior Manager, Legal Operations is responsible for managing multiple Management Operations workstreams in support of the General Counsel’s strategic commitment to Operational Excellence, Inclusion and Development.In collaboration with the Director of Legal Operations and peers, the Senior Manager, Legal Operations will be responsible for improving existing technology, including identifying and advocating for enhancements; measuring ROI; recommending changes; and coordinating testing and training.This work involves acting as a liaison between the legal and IT teams to support a robust and seamless portfolio of Legal technology.The Senior Manager, Legal Operations, will provide collaborative leadership of initiatives that arise in support of the department's objectives, helping to ensure smooth and optimized operations across the full department.What You Will Do:Oversee/Improve/Measure Legal Portfolio Ensure delivery of upgrades and enhancements within time and budget requirementsCreate cohesive and comprehensive strategy with corresponding 1, 5 and 10 year plansPlan necessary change management and process changes to complement technology changesEnsure compliance with all internal standards, policies and best practicesDevelop continuous improvement cycleRequest new features for current tools as need beManage relationships with third-party vendorsPartner with teams inside and outside of legal to ensure smooth transitionsRegularly measure and report on legal tech valueCreate and conduct communication plans to socialize changesCommittee LeadershipConduct quarterly Tech and Operations committee meetings to gather feedback and provide informationOversee Assistant Connection Committee to ensure Assistants remain informed and equippedTeam LeadershipProvide clear vision and instruction to teamsDevelop team members to optimize team productivity and effectiveness as well as employee experiencePave the way for success for team members as they chart new or sensitive territoryProvide guidance on escalated issuesOversee support teams and ensure their effectivenessLead strategic partner discussions with stakeholders at all levels within and outside legalRequired Qualifications & Skills:At least five (5) years’ work experience in a legal or IT position developing, implementing, and supporting legal solutions and services, with increasingly responsible supervisory/management experience.Able to communicate clearly and effectively to a diverse array of audiences, including senior executivesCapable of leading projects across teamsAbility to prioritize and multitask while meeting tight deadlines.Ability to coordinate and liaise with multiple departments using strong project management skills.Passionate about transforming business operations using technology with complimentary process and creating a culture of continuous improvementKnowledgeable about Legal concepts and processesCurious about data and the ability to analyze programs effectivelyProven ability to scale programs and grow them effectivelyExperience with Legal technologyExperience developing teams and working with individuals early in their careersExperience developing strategic or departmental planning materials that required consensus gathering from multiple constituents.Preferred Qualifications & Skills:Preferred experience with Legal and/or IT functionsEducation:Bachelor’s degree#CORP_MEDIA#LegalAffairs#twdcmedia The hiring range for this position in Burbank, CA is $139,200 to $186,600 per year. The base pay actually offered will take into account internal equity and also may vary depending on the candidate’s geographic region, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors. A bonus and/or long-term incentive units may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to the full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the level and position offered.
