Senior Manager, Live Entertainment & Licensing – New Ventures at Universal Orlando

JOB SUMMARY:Responsible for the overall management of LBE partnerships and overseeing the implementation and execution of licensed Live Entertainment and Location Based Entertainment (LBE) projects ensuring alignment with strategic objectives and timely delivery of milestones. Collaborating across teams to optimize resources and drive continuous improvement to enhance effectiveness. Additionally supporting sales efforts marketing promotions merchandise development safety and customer satisfaction to drive innovation and elevate guest experiences.MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES:Strategic Development and Global PartnershipsAssist in the development and execution of licensed location-based entertainment strategy.Drive initiatives aligning with business objectives ensuring effective communication and approvals.Work with partners to develop and execute strategic plans that align with those priorities of UDXConduct annual meetings with partners to review prior year performance and establish direction for future yearsConduct annual onsite inspections to ensure brand integrity is being maintainedStay current on IP awareness and consumer trends informing strategic decisions and development with licensed deals.Provide contractual oversight and management to ensure compliance with licensing agreements and business objectives.Establish and maintain strong relationships with global partners ensuring alignment with international standards and practices.Coordinate with international teams to facilitate the global execution of projects.Manage communications and negotiations with global stakeholders to ensure successful project outcomes.Creative Direction and Project ExecutionLead and direct efforts to conceive develop and define all creative aspects of assigned projects that affect guest experience.Oversee and direct licensed partners and producers to ensure that project creative intent is accurately integrated and documented.Collaborate with licensed partners and producers to maintain the desired creative intent and drive the creative design through all project phases.Work closely with IP Partner Marketing team on the manage the development of creative production marketing and publicity materials ensuring alignment with internal and external stakeholders.Track progress to meet key deadlines and ensure operational excellence and brand representation.Cross-Functional Collaboration and Product EnhancementPartner with Legal and Business Affairs to ensure contractual obligations are met and enforced.Collaborate with New Ventures and UDX teams to enhance product offerings and support overall business objectives.Work with licensed partners to continually improve products and collaborate on promotional support and customized offerings.Financial and Administrative OversightTrack project budgets and development schedules ensuring targets and milestones are met and resources are allocated efficiently.Monitor financial performance providing regular updates and reports to senior management.Develop and implement programs to improve profitability.Coordinate global travel arrangements ensuring efficient and cost-effective travel plans.Prepare and manage travel and expense reports ensuring compliance with company policies.Schedule and coordinate meetings across multiple time zones preparing agendas taking meeting notes and ensuring follow-up on action items.Quality Assurance and DocumentationMake sure that partners are implementing and adhering to LBEs quality assurance program to ensure the highest brand standards are being upheld.Monitor and evaluate all deliverables to ensure they meet established quality criteria.Collaborate with project teams to identify and resolve quality issues promptly.Develop and maintain document control systems to ensure accurate and efficient management of project documentation where applicable.Ensure all project documents are properly filed accessible and updated as necessary.Collaborate with team members to ensure compliance with document control procedures and standards.Technology Integration and Process ImprovementCollaborate with IT teams to integrate technology solutions that enhance project execution and management.Ensure seamless integration of IT systems with project workflows and documentation.Stay updated on emerging technologies and recommend IT solutions to improve efficiency and effectiveness.Understands and actively participates in Environmental Health & Safety responsibilities by following established UO policy procedures training and team member involvement activities.Performs other duties as assigned.EDUCATION:Bachelors degree from a four-year college or university is preferred.EXPERIENCE:5 Years: Experience leading a world-class team in respective field is required;or equivalent combination of education and experience.3 years of managerial experience of a team required with demonstrated project management skill base.Your talent skills and experience will be rewarded with a competitive compensation package.Universal Orlando Resort.
