DescriptionAs the Not-for-Profit Tax Senior Manager youll deliver a full range of tax services for your clients in the not-for-profit and healthcare industries all with the resources environment and support to help you excel. Youll collaborate with Not-for-Profit Tax and Human Capital Services team members and provide innovative tax planning consulting and compliance expertise provide primary and secondary review of complex tax returns develop and manage staff and work closely with leadership and staff on client management practice development and business development activities because together is how we succeed.From day one youll be empowered by great technology processes and a collaborative and thoughtful team to continue to extend your technical knowledge work across new projects and provide excellent client service and help you achieve more confidently.Your day-to-day may include:Managing multiple client service teams on client engagements; planning executing directing and completing tax projects; providing innovative tax planning consulting and compliance expertise to clients; and actively assisting in proposal activitiesManaging developing training and mentoring staff and assessing performance for engagement and year-end reviewsConducting primary and secondary review of complex tax returns; including Forms 990 990-T 990-PF and state filingsMaintaining active communication with clients to manage expectations ensure deadlines are met and enhance client relationshipsOther duties as assignedYou have the following technical skills and qualifications:Bachelors degree in accounting; preferred: masters in taxation; JD or CPA requiredMinimum ten years of progressive federal tax consulting and/or compliance experience in public accounting or a combination of industry and public accounting experience with a minimum of four years specializing in the not-for-profit areaExperience with Forms 990 990-T and 990-PFExcellent analytical technical and tax accounting/technology skills with proficiency in tax compliance unrelated business income excise taxes and other tax issues relevant to the not-for-profit industryExceptional client service and communication skills with a demonstrated ability to develop and maintain outstanding client relationships and present to client boardsStrong leadership business development recruiting training coaching and mentoring skills coupled with excellent written interpersonal and presentation skillsExcellent verbal and written communication skillsCan travel as needed expected travel up to 10%#LI-JC5The base salary range for this position in the Chicago office only is between $152000 to $228000.Required Experience:Senior Manager Key Skills Tax Experience,Accounting Software,GAAP,QuickBooks,Accounting,Sage,Account Reconciliation,Analysis Skills,Research Experience,SOX,Microsoft Excel,Financial Analysis Employment Type : Full-Time Experience: years Vacancy: 1 Monthly Salary Salary: 152000 - 228000
