Xometrys digital marketplace gives manufacturers the critical resources they need to grow their business while also making it easy for buyers at Fortune 1000 companies to tap into global manufacturing capacity.Xometry is seeking a Senior Manufacturing Engineer Prototype Machining with a strong eye for detail and mechanical aptitude who will operate and program CNC machinery to accurately and efficiently manufacture high-quality parts.Duties and responsibilitieswill include but are not limited to:Reading specifications on blueprints and mechanical drawings and ensuring they are met.Setup program and operate CNC Mill and Lathe for prototype/production part runsBe able to run tests on machines to check machine outputs according to specifications and adjust as necessary.Design fixtures and manufacture them as neededExamine and maintain machinery regularly to ensure functionality.Supervise machines during execution and make any necessary adjustments to manufacture a better result.Inspect completed parts and compare them to the specifications and requirements of the blueprint to determine if the process was properly completed.Performs all work in compliance with Xometrys quality and safety systems policies and procedures.Maintain cleanliness of the work area.Required Qualifications:Demonstrated experience as CNC machinist with at least 10 years of experience.Skill in operating and programming CNC machinery and tooling as well as precision measurement tools.Ability to read and interpret mechanical documents and drawings.Computer savvy with expert understanding of CNC programming and CAD/CAM.Mechanical aptitude and proficient math skillsMinimum 4 years programming experienceKnowledge of GD&THaas Mill and Lathe experience is a plusSolidworks experience is a plusMasterCam or NX experience requiredUS citizen or Green Card holderXometry is an equal opportunity employer.
