Senior Manufacturing Manager Space Launch SystemsCompany:The Boeing CompanyBoeing Defense Space and Security (BDS) has an exciting opportunity for a Senior Manufacturing Manager (Level L) to join our dynamic Space Launch Systems (SLS) team at our Michoud Assembly Facility in New Orleans LA.Position Responsibilities:Manages employees and first-level managers performing activities within multiple manufacturing disciplinesDevelops and executes integrated departmental plans policies and procedures and provides input on departmental business and technical strategies goals and objectivesAcquires resources for department activities provides technical management of suppliers and leads process improvementsDevelops and maintains relationships and partnerships with customers stakeholders peers partners and direct reportsProvides oversight and approval of technical approaches products and processesManages develops and motivates employees and first-level managersThis position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at the listed location.Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):More than 5 years of experience in a leadership role (i.e. manager project manager team lead etc.)More than 3 years of experience supporting Operations Materials Management and/or Supply Chain functions in a production environment.More than 1 year of experience in an aerospace fabrication or manufacturing environment.More than 1 year of experience in implementing lean methodologies and productivity improvements.Experience with Conflict Management and Conflict Resolution.Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):Bachelors Degree or higherDrug Free Workplace:Boeingis a Drug Free Workplace where post offer applicants and employees are subject to testing for marijuana cocaine opioids amphetamines PCP and alcohol when criteria is met as outlined in our policies.Additional Information:This position requires the ability to obtain access to a National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA) facility.
