Our team solves tough meaningful problems that create a safer more secure world.The Standard Missile portfolio is seeking a Senior Material Program Manager (MPM) to support production contracts within the Naval Standard Missile Systems Production (NSMS) portfolio of Naval Power. This role is located onsite at our Tucson Arizona this role you will be responsible for the execution of franchise NSMS production programs that are critical to supporting the warfighters mission.In this role you will apply your existing knowledge of Supply Chain material requirements planning and business acumen within a matrixed role requires advanced/applied knowledge of material requirements planning (MRP) processes subcontract management project management financial forecasting and Estimates at Complete (EAC). You will be developing and executing material acceleration strategies for recently awarded production contracts while leading a team of 1-2 MPMs in support of executing these tasks.The successful candidate will have excellent written and oral communications skills to be able to influence and communicate effectively across multiple areas outside of ones own job function as well as with parties external to the organization.What You Will Do:Work closely with Program Management Integrated Product Teams (IPTs) EngineeringQuality Production Control and Procurement to develop and execute Material Strategies which support Customer requirements and meet Program objectivesLead by influence in a matrixed organizationBrief program and customer leadership teams on Supply Chain status material constraints and risk mitigation or opportunity capture plansSupport supplier negotiations and PO placement as required to meet program cost and schedule objectivesFinancial management (i.e. EV budgets targets working capital proposals material sales forecasts etc.). The MPM may act as the Control Account Manager.Overall ownership of the supplier management process (i.e. Supplier Risk/Opportunity Management Plan supplier performance metrics international issues develop/evaluate the make/buy strategy the Collaborative Agreement process etc.) and communication of customer flow-through requirements such as FAR/DFARS ITAR offset public law quality warranty etc.Lead develop and drive favorable performance for a team of 1-2 individual contributorsIssue/Conflict resolution within organizations between organizations and with suppliersManage timely and compliant quarterly Estimates At Completion (EACs) to include Risk & Opportunity managementSupport MRP Scheduling and Master Data requestsWillingness to travel domestically/internationally as required (expected to be <20%)Qualifications You Must Have:Typically requires: A University Degree or equivalent experience and a minimum of 10 years prior relevant supply chain experience or an advanced degree in a related field and a minimum of 7 years experience.Applied knowledge of material requirements planning (MRP) processesQualifications We Prefer:Advanced Microsoft Office skillsetAdvanced Supply Chain Planning tool experience (i.e. SAP/PRISM Kinaxis MFT ROMS etc.)Experience with proposals or material estimatingMPM Level 4 (or higher) CertificationEVMS CertificationPM Level 7 (or higher) CertificationWhat We Offer: Whether youre just starting out on your career journey or are an experienced professional we offer a robust total rewards package with compensation; healthcare wellness retirement and work/life benefits; career development and recognition programs. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels.
