Job DescriptionJob DescriptionJob Title: Senior Mechanical EngineerLocation: Lockport, LAPosition Overview: A Senior Mechanical Engineer responsible for complete system design from conceptual level to production design of Marine Ventilation and Air Conditioning.Key Responsibilities:Must have knowledge of marine insulation, machinery ventilation, and air conditioning.Perform necessary calculations to validate design and submit required reports to classification society and/or customer.Must have the ability to use computer-assisted engineering software to design products or systems.Ability to support all production and testing activities.Experience: Must possess a Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or equal and have a minimum of 5 -7 years of shipyard or marine HVAC design experience. Must have basic computer skills using Microsoft applications (i.e., MS Excel, MS Word) and AutoCAD. Equipment selection and incorporation of ventilation and cooling systems for complete design of vessels. Military or government design experience with supporting calculations/design reviews. Knowledge of SNAME 4-16, ASHRAE, or similar design criteria.Skills and Abilities: Must be self-motivated and exhibit excellent communication and leadership skills.
