The Senior Platform Engineer will play a critical role in designing, implementing and maintaining scalable cloud infrastructure solutions. Their expertise in CI/CD pipelines, Terraform, Python, and AWS will be essential in optimizing and automating our deployment processes while ensuring reliability, security, and performance.Design, build, and maintain CI/CD pipelines for efficient software deliveryDevelop and manage Infrastructure as Code (IaC) solutions using TerraformDeploy and maintain cloud infrastructure on AWS, ensuring scalability and securityAutomate provisioning, configuration, and monitoring of infrastructureWork closely with development and operations teams to improve deployment strategies and system reliabilityImplement security best practices, ensuring compliance with industry standardsTroubleshoot and resolve infrastructure-related issues efficientlyMentor junior engineers and contribute to the development of best practicesStay up to date with the latest industry trends and technologies to continuously improve the platformQualificationsBachelor's degree or equivalent experience in a field requiring strong analytical and quantitative skills such as Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, Finance, or Information Systems5+ years of experience as a Platform Engineer, DevOps Engineer, or Cloud EngineerStrong expertise in CI/CD tools (e.g., GitHub Actions (Preferred), Jenkins, GitLab CI/CD, or CircleCI)Hands-on experience with Terraform for Infrastructure as Code (IaC)Strong, production-level scripting capabilities in Python, Bash, and other languages for automation and toolingProficiency with AWS services (e.g., EC2, S3, IAM, Lambda, RDS, ECS, EKS)Experience with containerization and orchestration tools (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes)Solid foundation in networking, security principles, and cloud-native architecture patternsFamiliarity with monitoring and logging tools (e.g., Datadog (Preferred) Prometheus, Grafana, CloudWatch)Preferred Qualifications:Certifications such as AWS Certified Solutions Architect or Terraform AssociateExperience utilizing ai coding assistants in code generation and troubleshootingExperience with configuration management tools (e.g., Ansible, Chef, or Puppet)Knowledge of serverless computing and event-driven architecturesUnderstanding of policy-as-code and compliance frameworks (e.g., AWS Config, Open Policy Agent)Prior experience leading projects or teams in a cloud engineering capacityNISA's culture encourages collaboration and innovation.
