The ideal candidate will have the opportunity to work in a collaborative environment focused on safety and sustainable design. The candidate will have experience producing projects on time and on budget, high standards for quality and performance, and a thorough understanding of design and construction processes related to building and site mechanical design and engineering.The Senior Plumbing Designer/Engineer will report to the Plumbing & Fire Protection Team Manager.Senior Engineering PrioritiesLead in the design of Plumbing Systems on a variety of projects under the supervision of the Project Manager and Principal In Charge.Support leadership in coaching and developing team designersCommunicate and cross-coordinate with all design and drafting teams.Develop, prepare, and coordinate designs/drawings needs per applicable standards and codesPrepare plumbing and fire protection specifications, and coordinate with code officialsParticipate in the QAQC process and ensure compliance requirements are followed in all design outputAttend meetings, conduct field surveys, and prepare technical reportsDevelop project time budgeting and prepare project cost budgetsDirectly interface with clients and attend networking eventsContribute positively to the overall business development of the companyWhat you need8 to 20 years Direct work experience designing Plumbing systems for commercial, retail, education or similar industriesBachelor's degree from an ABET Accredited Program in Engineering and related certifications highly preferredStrong understanding of all phases of project document production and the relationship between drawings and specifications.Demonstrated experience on MEP projects from design through final constructionExperience working with water/sewer authorities and local municipalities and utilizationof building / energy codesHigh level of personal integrity, professionalism and honesty with one's own abilitiesCollaborative mindset and the desire to develop self and othersExcellent facilitation, communication, and analytical skillsProficient in AutoCAD and Revit 2022 or newerIn-Office Availability: Tuesday through ThursdayWHY WNAFinancial and Professional DevelopmentPerformance and Profit-sharing BonusesSecure 401(k) with Employer Matching and Roth Options Project Expense and Travel (meals, mileage, etc.) Reimbursement Professional Memberships, Certifications and Licensures Reimbursement Collaborative mentorship culture with multi-level experienced engineers Internal and External Training and Cross-training Resources Monthly Team Building and Company-wide EventsHealth and Personal Well-being Medical Insurance, Dental and Vision HSA with Employer ContributionsSupplementals Available: Life, Short term Disability, etc. Schedule Flexibility and 9/80 SchedulesGenerous Paid Personal and Holiday PTOPaid Parental Leave BenefitWNA offers a market-competitive compensation and total benefits package that includes bonuses, medical coverage, retirement, employer contributions, and schedules with family and flexibility in mind.
