Senior Power BI Developer at VBeyond

Role: Senior Power BI Developer Location: Oaks, PA (3 days onsite in a week- Hybrid) Job Description: Expert in developing DAX and Power queries, semantic model design, Power BI report, and dashboard development. The ideal candidate will bring strong expertise in semantic data modeling, advanced DAX development, and performance tuning, along with the ability to translate complex data into meaningful, visually compelling, and business ready dashboards. • Design and develop interactive Power BI reports and dashboards aligned with business and analytical requirements. • Build and maintain robust semantic models using dimensional modeling best practices, including star schemas. • Develop complex DAX measures, calculated columns, and calculated tables, optimized for performance and scalability. • Implement and manage advanced Power BI capabilities, including: o Aggregations o Incremental refresh o Row Level Security (RLS) o Composite and hybrid models • Optimize report and dataset performance using appropriate storage modes (Import, DirectQuery, Hybrid). • Collaborate closely with Data Warehouse and Data Engineering teams to align reporting structures with underlying data models. • Troubleshoot and resolve performance, data quality, and accuracy issues. • Adhere to established BI standards, naming conventions, and governance frameworks. • Participate in deployment and release processes across Development, Test, and Production environments. • Provide support for production reporting issues, enhancements, and user inquiries. • Work with business users to refine KPIs, metrics, and analytical insights. • Create visually intuitive, innovative, and executive ready dashboards that effectively communicate insights.
