This position involves cross-functional collaboration to design and commercialize advanced technology supporting process development across Boston Scientifics global plant is a key opportunity in Process Development (PD) for WATCHMAN within Boston Scientifics Cardiology division. Whether your passion lies in systems software human factors or beyond this is a place where you can grow your career and be part of something biggeradvancing science for life.Your responsibilities will include:Collaborate with R&D to develop product concepts influence design specifications and provide Design for Manufacturability (DFM) inputWork cross functionally to develop and deliver capable processes and equipment to operationsApply technical knowledge to innovate design and develop processes procedures tooling and/or automationAssess process capabilities prioritize process improvement opportunities and innovate and implement process improvements on platform or derivative projectsExecute the functional deliverables associated with the PDP/TDP Project Management and Quality SystemsGather provide and present technical data for technical reviews and decision makingWrite work instructions technical reports validations and qualifications by capturing experimental resultsComplete proper documentation to meet quality systems requirements (e.g. BOMs Routers FMEAs etc.)Write and review validation protocols and reports applicable to new and updated processesOversee development builds associated with the project using special work requestsContribute ideas to or generate Intellectual Property submissionsTrain and/or provide work direction to technicians and engineers and may train manufacturing personnel when required as part of prototype line development and validationMay serve as a core team member workstream lead or extended team member on new product development projectsRequired qualifications:Bachelors degree in EngineeringMinimum of 4 years of professional engineering experience relevant to this roleMust work well in a team environment across functions and sitesHands-on mechanical aptitudeDemonstrated engineering fundamentals (LEAN DFM etc) and problem-solving skillsDemonstrated cross functional teamwork in a technically demanding environmentStrong written and verbal communication skillsPreferred qualifications:Bachelors degree in Mechanical Engineering Biomedical Engineering or similar engineering fieldPrior experience in medical device industry or similar highly-regulated industryFixture and equipment design or troubleshooting experience (CAD experience not required)Demonstrated use of Design for Six Sigma tools (Design of Experiments problem solving)Experience in New Product DevelopmentCardiology related experienceExpertise in Operations and/or New Product DevelopmentDemonstrated cross-functional teamwork in technical environmentExperience developing and characterizing various types of processesDemonstrated understanding and usage of statistics to drive improvementsDemonstrated understanding of problem solving and root cause investigationsAbility to schedule out timelines with specific milestones to achieve and demonstrate successExperience with Process Verification and ValidationOpen to travel (domestic or international) up to 10% of timeRequisition ID:619671Minimum Salary:$82600Maximum Salary: $156900The anticipated compensation listed above and the value of core and optional employee benefits offered by Boston Scientific (BSC) see vary based on actual location of the position and other pertinent factors considered in determining actual compensation for the role.
