Caterpillar's Electrification + Energy Solutions (E+ES) division focuses on delivering advanced electrified power train, zero-emissions products/technologies, and the solutions and services associated with these technologies. Focus areas include service & digital applications to manage the site solutions ecosystem (energy sources, electric machines, batteries, charging, energy storage systems across industries). The opportunity
We are looking for a Senior Product Consultant to develop a deep understanding of our customers' and dealers' needs and challenges related to the electrification of heavy equipment using 'Voice of Customer' research methods collaborating closely with Cat Digital and the Product Groups.
This is a highly collaborative role where you will engage with multiple stakeholders across the organization to align marketing strategies with overall corporate goals in electrification services.
What you will do:
- Create educational and persuasive materials such as videos, guides, and training sessions to facilitate understanding and adoption of new services.
- Monitor and evaluate dealer & customer feedback and usage to assess the effectiveness of strategies and materials.
- Gather local customer success stories from dealerships to educate and inspire other dealers.
- Help craft core NPI electrification and sustainability marketing messages.
- Work with dealers and customers on process and mechanism to track client experience and design customer journey.
- Lead global customer product and functional requirements' development in support of New Product Introduction (NPI) programs.
- Develop deep customer site level knowledge regarding their needs, challenges and solutions as they progress on sustainability journey
- Develop global critical customer requirements and product functional specifications for sustainability input to the Product Group's NPI programs and gaining approval from executive leadership.
- Lead global product research plans, objectives and ensuring execution of deliverables and budget for our sustainability efforts.
- Develop an extensive global training pack for our NPI programs and future strategic direction. Deliver training to internal specialists
- Primary point of contact for all global product and site sustainability requirements.
- Owns global unmet customer needs process for sustainability.
- Leads the development of our global sustainability directional and strategic input to the Value Selling Tool, including customer economics and price / value.
- Employee may also be responsible for performing other job duties occasionally as assigned.
What you have:
- Customer Focus - Level Extensive Experience: Anticipates customer needs using VOC and Customer Journey Mapping, focusing efforts to proactively meet needs and exceed customer expectations.
- Products and Services - Level Working Knowledge: Experience with electrification and/or sustainability/alternative power technologies
- Researches the target market and how the product and services are sold and delivered and summarizes key features.
- Effective Communications - Level Extensive Experience: Excellent communication skills and team leadership are required to develop a collaborative relationship with partners across the enterprise, dealers and customers in all regions of the world.
- Reviews others' writing or presentations and provides feedback and coaching.
- Adapts documents and presentations for the intended audience.
- Knowledge of the principles and practices for selling products, technology and services; ability to provide overall product/service 'value' and to differentiate support offerings that address clearly understood customer needs.
Additional Information:
- There is a 15% travel requirement for this role.
- There is a requirement of 5 days in the office a week.

Summary Pay Range: $128,470.00 - $192,710.00
Compensation and benefits offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, job level, market location, job-related knowledge, skills, individual performance and experience. Please note that salary is only one component of total compensation at Caterpillar.
