We believe that together we can create a brighter more sustainable future while tackling the most pressing challenges of the 21st century.We are looking for a Senior Product Engineer Mechanical with expertise in industrial Mechanical Engineering to lead the transformation of a low-volume manually assembled Packaged Energy Server (PES) to a semi-automated or fully automated build ready to scale with the worlds increasing power demands. This role will report to Director FIT and Skids and is based in Newark DE. This is a fully on-site in office role.Role and Responsibilities:Serve as thetechnical authorityfor the mechanical interfaces and design for manufacturing (DFM) of the Bloom Energy PES. Drive the deployment of scalable cost-effective and reliable DFM solutions.Interface with Product Development (Mechanical/Systems) Compliance Quality and other organizations to execute PES initiatives that are aligned with business goals.Influence and support the full lifecycle of the product from Design Review through Commissioning and Handover.Engineer and develop creative solutions to meet current and future customer needs. Prepare all the documentation needed for a smooth and efficient roll-out of the manufacturing solution.Be an agent for continuous improvement as a key member of the product change control process.Use mechanical engineering expertise to identify and evaluate product designs for product reliability and serviceability at the point of use.Champion the collection analysis and review of key data/metrics to aid in the development of future product design(s).Skills and Experience: BS in Mechanical Engineering Civil Engineering or a related field required. Masters degree a plus.2 - 5 years experience working in a Manufacturing or Industrial EnvironmentExperience with DFM Design of Experiments Product Lifecycle DevelopmentProven proficiency with CAD Data Analysis and Visualization Software. (e.g. Solidworks Tableau JMP Minitab MS Office Suite etc.).Familiarity with the Power Generation market.Physical Requirements (optional):Must be able to wear required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) in designated areas.Bloom Energy is an equal opportunity employer and makes employment decisions on the basis of merit.
