About the role:Boston Scientific in Maple Grove MN is seeking a Senior Production Supervisor (1st shift) to lead a team of direct labor employees in the safe efficient and high-quality production of medical devices. This role directly impacts patients lives across the globe by ensuring the delivery of exceptional products.The core hours for this shift are 6:00 AM to 2:00 PM (Monday through Friday). In this position you will grow your leadership capabilities by coaching mentoring and supporting your production and support team personnel. You will help create a culture of engagement and continuous improvement while driving performance to meet safety quality service and cost goals.At Boston Scientific we value collaboration and synergy. This role follows a fully-onsite work model requiring employees to be in our local office five (5) days per week.Relocation assistance is not available for this position at this time.Boston Scientific will not offer sponsorship or take over sponsorship of an employment visa for this position at this time.Your responsibilities will include:Through direct reports produce high-quality products safely on time and at the lowest costIdentify customer requirements and deliver the right products at the right timeRemain responsive and flexible to customer demandsAchieve and exceed product cost goalsSupport new product development readiness activitiesEnsure compliance with Boston Scientific policies and regulatory standardsPromote safety quality and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP)Foster teamwork and enable a culture of Operational Excellence across the cross-functional teamEnsure effective two-way communication between the production line team and support functionsManage coach and develop product builders through performance managementDemonstrate and reinforce company values through individual and team recognitionUtilize production planning tools to ensure proper allocation of labor equipment support and spaceEnsure effective and efficient training while maintaining cross-training versatilityApply leader standard work practices to monitor performance and escalate as neededLead continuous improvement initiatives for safety quality service cost and spacePartner with materials management to support build planning and material delivery systemsAnalyze build plan requirements and provide forward-looking monthly production commitmentsAnticipate resource requirements and position the team to exceed customer needsContribute to the long-term planning of the production areaRequired qualifications:Bachelors degree or an equivalent combination of manufacturing experience and education will be considered in lieu of degreeMinimum of 2 years of experience in a production environmentStrong computer skills including SAP and Microsoft Excel Word and PowerPointDemonstrated experience with Lean tools and systemsAbility to support and lead a production team working 1st shift hours (6:00 AM 2:00 PM Monday-Friday)Strong written and verbal communication skills across all organizational levelsPreferred qualifications:Prior supervisory or management experienceExperience in a regulated manufacturing environmentMedical device industry experienceAbility to be flexible and agile in a dynamic environmentSelf-starter with a proactive approachRequisition ID:620429Minimum Salary:$69500Maximum Salary: $132000The anticipated compensation listed above and the value of core and optional employee benefits offered by Boston Scientific (BSC) see vary based on actual location of the position and other pertinent factors considered in determining actual compensation for the role. Compensation will be commensurate with demonstrable level of experience and training pertinent education including licensure and certifications among other relevant business or organizational needs.
