OverviewThis role is at Spirit AeroSystems, Inc. a wholly owned subsidiary of The Boeing Company, supporting Spirit's Commercial Business Units ("Spirit Commercial"). Spirit Commercial designs and builds commercial aerostructures, including for Boeing Commercial Airplanes, one of Boeing's three business units and the premier manufacturer of commercial jetliners for decades. Spirit Commercial's core products include fuselages, pylons, nacelles and wing components, with a focus on innovative composite and aluminum manufacturing solutions. ResponsibilitiesRELOCATION ASSISTANCE AVAILABLE TO THOSE WHO QUALIFYDevelop strategies and lead the implementation to achieve improvement in on-time delivery, cost, safety, quality and productivityImplement continuous improvement strategiesSets future staffing needs and development of the teamConducts performance reviews on subordinatesPartners with various support functions on any new or changing statements of work Communicates with internal customers QualificationsRequired Skills:Bachelor's degree, MBA preferred5+ years of experience in Aerospace, Aviation, Industrial Engineering, Chemical Finishing/Processing, Assembly or Machining5+ years of experience managing/supervising a team of 100 or more employees5+ years leadership/management experience (industry or military)5+ years of experience in manufacturing environmentPrior management level experience reporting out to Senior Leadership on department production statusPrior budgetary responsibility or review experience for associated department P&LExperience reviewing, delivering or monitoring production metricsExperience in Microsoft Office SuiteLeading teams and driving route cause corrective actions (RCCA)Ability to coach and develop teamPrior experience working with and leading multiple cross functional groups (Quality, Assembly, Procurement, Supply Chain, Machining etc.) Preferred Qualifications:10 years of experience in a leadership role10 years of experience in Aerospace, Aviation, Automotive, Industrial Manufacturing, Chemical Finishing/Processing, Assembly or MachiningPrior SAP experienceUnderstanding of a manufacturing production atmosphereVersatile manufacturing and machining experienceUnderstanding of supervising Union employeesExperience with aircraft maintenance or machiningExperience working in a 24/7 operations environment Pay is based upon candidate experience and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations. Summary Pay Range: $106,300 - $163,000 Kansas Tax Credit: Join Spirit AeroSystems' Kansas team and you may be eligible for a $5,000 state of Kansas Aviation tax credit for up to five years.
