Senior Quality EngineerCompany:The Boeing CompanyBoeing Defense Space & Security (BDS) has an exciting opportunity for a Senior Quality Engineer to join our team located in New Orleans LA!This position requires a Bachelors degree in one of the following relevant fields of study:EngineeringComputer ScienceEngineering Technology (including Manufacturing Technology)MathematicsPhysicsChemistryPosition Responsibilities:Leads integration of contractual and Boeing Quality Management System requirements into all aspects of proposals and program processes and documentation. Provides interpretation of complex requirements. Develops quality metrics design and production certification plans for large programs to ensure compliance with contractual Company and regulatory requirements. Develops Quality criteria to support supplier selection activities. Leads various reviews to ensure quality attributes are incorporated into product designs. Develops and selects methods for analysis testing and audit to ensure manufacturing and test readiness. Assists in development of new standards repairs for non-conformances. Analyzes non-conformance trends to evaluate effectiveness of corrective actions. Develops and implements corrective actions. Performs benchmarking and other forms of advanced analysis to ensure specified processes capability levels are achieved. Works under minimal direction.This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at the listed location.This position requires the ability to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance for which the U.S. Government requires U.S. Citizenship. An Interim and/or final U.S. Secret Clearance Post Start is required.Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):Bachelors degree in a relevant field of study5 years of experience in Quality Management Systems (QMS)5 years of experience performing quantitative or statistical analysis data collection preparation and interpretation5 years of experience with quality Inspection and/or auditing5 years of experience with root cause analysis and corrective action (RCCA) methods1 year of experience leading or managing projects/initiativesPreferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):3 years experience in aerospace fabrication or manufacturing environmentTravel:This position may require up to 25% travel.Shift:This position is for 1st shiftAt Boeing we strive to deliver a Total Rewards package that will attract engage and retain the top talent.
