SummaryThe Senior Resident Manager at Jordan Downsis responsible for the day-to-day management of the property including overseeing physical maintenance and upkeep effectuating administrative and clerical tasks maintaining positive resident relations and adhering to all applicable rules and regulations. This position requires strong leadership skills and an understanding of diverse populations. This position involves independent judgement and discretion including when and how to delegate responsibilities to effectively manage the respective property. The Resident Manager must be able to analyze the respective property and highlight its best attributes to best manage the property.The Senior Resident Manager is expected to use their independent judgment and discretion to maintain BRIDGE Property Management Companys high standards of professionalism and service to provide residents with a safe well-managed living environment and to meet the companys goals and objectives. The Senior Resident Manager must also effectively manage and supervise staff to ensure that property staff are responsive to the needs of residents and support resident interaction and retention. ResponsibilitiesInterview potential residentsto determine whether they meet applicable regulations and/or requirements as issued by any local State Federal Governmentor agency regarding income eligibilityIndependently Determine Content of and coordinate resident community meetings and resident activitiesCollect rent and serve late notices as needed and/or delegate the sameEnsure compliance with proper procedure and regulations for applicant certification and annual resident re-certificationOversee maintenance of property management software systems Review analyze and prepare weekly and monthly compliance reportsMaintain resident maintenance and vendor filing systems and/or delegate the sameKeep inventory of office and maintenance suppliesand/or delegate the sameSupervise maintenance and office staffSupervise work of contractors and vendorsincluding approval of services and associated invoicesConduct and/or oversee annual unit inspections including determining how to comply with regulatory agency program rules for any units that do not meet standardsProvide excellent customer service to residents and vendors and ensure that all staff do the sameAttend annual trainings and apply those trainings ensure compliance with the Fair Housing Act and affordable housing regulatory complianceUse independent judgment and discretion to determine how to handle after hours emergenciesCoordinate andwork with onsite team and local service organizations to provide resident servicesOversee and execute other projects as assignedQualifications HUD HOME State affordable housing programs and tax credit experienceKnowledge of property maintenance and physical maintenance/upkeep requirementsExcellent communication and interpersonal skills for residents and to manage staffStrong computer skills including MS Word Outlook and Excel; Yardi a plusExcellent organizational skills attention to detail and follow through including ability to manage staffAble to work independently prioritize meet multiple deadlines and supervise team membersValid drivers license and required insurancePreferredQualificationsCertification in Residential Apartment ManagementBilingualPhysical RequirementsAble to ambulate1000 feetwithout difficulty over varied grounds and terrainAble to lift 25 pounds from a standing positionAble to lift objects overhead pivot and return object to original positionAble to sit at desk for extensiveperiod of timeEmployee Benefits Employee medical dental and vision coverage403(b) retirement savings plan with employer match14paid holidays plus two weeks of paid vacation per yearOpportunity to work toward a great mission!BRIDGE Housing is an Equal Opportunity Employer committed to fostering an inclusive environment for our diverse workforce.
