Senior Sales Manager, Retail & Builder Channel - Northwest at Whirlpool
JOB DESCRIPTION
Senior Sales Manager for the Northwest Region
The Senior Sales Manager for the Northwest Region is a sales leadership-focused role emphasizing market manager development within the retail and builder channel, along with strategy creation and continuous improvement for critical accounts and business segments.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Leading 12 market managers and 2 Market Development Representatives
- Mastering the regional P&L with specific ownership of market manager and MDR quota attainment
- Providing thought leadership in working with regional leadership in creating retail and contract/builder strategies
- Executing strategies and delivering results, prioritizing quarterly objectives, and ensuring the region is delivering strong retail and contract/builder growth
- Providing leadership for Ferguson, Whirlpool's largest ACD, driving accountability among each market manager to prospect & deliver both outside contract and inside showroom sales
- Fostering positive people leader experiences, making the region a destination for top talent
- Creating a transparent, open culture of sharing best practices, constructive feedback
- Owning the performance management process for direct reports: EPE, objective setting, and quota development
- Driving operational excellence in partnership with the sales operations team and other process partners
- Developing thought leadership that brings a solutions-driven, continuous improvement mindset
- Leading continuous improvement initiatives that deliver operational enhancements to the region
- Building strong relationships across Sr. Manager peer set & NBDM teams, ensuring collaboration and culture of learning
Minimum requirements:
- Bachelor Degree
- +5 years of strategic selling and negotiating in the home appliance marketplace
Preferred skills and experiences:
- Past selling experience
- Posture of curiosity and passion for learning
- Ability to create trust & followership
- Proactive coaching and exhibiting servant leadership
- Exceptional communication skills and detailed follow up
- Analytical and continuous improvement mindset
- Strong financial acumen including P&L understanding
- Strong knowledge of Whirlpool operations and support functions process
