By leveraging your innovative mind and deep expertise in immunology you will lead projects to uncover novel immunological mechanisms driving vaccine efficacy and investigate/develop new models to drive vaccine selection and understanding. Your work will directly contribute to the discovery of new vaccine targets and the optimization of immunogenic formulations ultimately advancing our mission to deliver life-saving vaccines and improve global health outcomes.How You Will Achieve ItRegularly contribute and influence at the project team level.Design and execute experiments to profile innate immune responses to vaccine candidates driving candidate selection and advancement.Develop in vitro and ex vivo assays and models to validate biomarkers predictive of vaccine efficacy and reactogenicity.Develop optimize and perform flow cytometry and multiplex cytokine assays to support preclinical studies and evaluate new models.Supervise junior colleagues in design and execution of experiments.Identify trouble-shoot and optimize relevant assay systems technologies and readouts.Conduct research that leads to publication in peer-reviewed journals and presentation of data at internal and external meetings.Effectively collaborate with other members of Vaccine Research & Development and supporting partner lines.QualificationsMust-HavePhD in Immunology 0 to 4 years of scientific/technical experience OR Masters degree and between 7 to 10 years of scientific/technical experienceStrong background in innate immunityTrack record of scientific excellence in immunologyHighly skilled with biomarker assay platforms such as immunoassays (ADCC ADCP ELISPOT ELISA Luminex MSD).Proficiency in multiparametric flow cytometry assays including immunophenotyping and immune based functional assaysExpertise in primary cell immune isolation differentiation and characterization from murine tissues and human bloodExtensive experience in innate immune cell subsets isolation and characterization using multi-color flow cytometryKnowledge of trained immunity and systems vaccinologyExperience with human organoid vaccine modelsAbility to perform complex data analysis and team player with strong communication skillsStrong time management and organizational skillsNice-to-HaveExperience with adjuvant vaccine assay developmentExperience with coding including writing R and Python scriptsSolid background in vaccine research innate immunology infectious diseases or related fields and a desire to continue in a laboratory-focused roleOther Job DetailsWork Location Assignment:On PremiseRelocation package availableThe annual base salary for this position ranges from $90900.00 to $151500.00. In addition this position is eligible for participation in Pfizers Global Performance Plan with a bonus target of 12.5% of the base salary and eligibility to participate in our share based long term incentive program.
