Senior Software Application TesterCompany:The Boeing CompanyThe Boeing Company is currently seeking a Senior Software Application Tester to join the team in Seattle WA; Renton; WA; Tukwila WA; Berkeley MO; or Hazelwood MO.The Software Application Tester will lead testing activities for mission-critical software and systems while defining test strategy. You will plan and execute test programs manage a team of testers and Quality Assurance (QA) engineers and ensure product quality reliability and compliance with standards.Position Responsibilities:Develop and maintain the overall test strategy test plans and test schedulesLead mentor and grow a team of test engineers and QA specialistsCoordinate test activities across engineering product systems and integration teamsDefine test environments tooling automation strategy and metrics for qualityOversee test execution: functional integration system performance regression and acceptance testingManage defective lifecycle and ensure timely resolution and risk mitigationCommunicate test status risks and quality metrics to stakeholders and leadershipEnsure compliance with relevant processes industry standards and certification requirementsSupport release planning and readiness reviewsBasicQualifications (Required Skills/Experience):5 years of experience in test management quality assurance leadership and/or equivalent rolesExperience in test planning execution and test process improvementExperience with test automation frameworks tools and Continuous Integration/ Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) integrationExperience leading cross-functional teams while managing multiple prioritiesExperience with bug/issue tracking systems (e.g. JIRA) and test management tools (e.g. TestRail)Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):Experience in aerospace defense or other safety-critical industriesExperience with systems integration hardware-in-the-loop (HIL) testing or embedded systems testingExperience with regulatory and certification processes relevant to the domainAdvanced degree (MS) or relevant certifications (e.g. ISTQB Advanced/Expert PMP)Drug Free Workplace:Boeingis a Drug Free Workplace where post offer applicants and employees are subject to testing for marijuana cocaine opioids amphetamines PCP and alcohol when criteria is met as outlined in our policies.Pay & Benefits:At Boeing we strive to deliver a Total Rewards package that will attract engage and retain the top talent.
