This engineer will join our Applied AI team which focuses on incorporating generative AI and building innovative GenAI-based solutions while creating infrastructure and tools that support the organization. Our team has deployed small models built classifiers and is at the forefront of AI innovation.This position is located in our Arlington VA office and offers a schedule of Monday-Thursday in office and Friday work from home.ResponsibilitiesBuild large-scale distributed API-driven systems using and modern scalable design patterns on AWSDesign and implement infrastructure using Terraform Docker and build CI/CD pipelines for deploymentArchitect and develop event-driven applications leveraging AWS services (Lambda SQS DynamoDB S3 etc.)Integrate generative AI capabilities and deploy machine learning models into production applicationsBuild and optimize small classifiers and work with both generative AI and classical machine learning approachesDrive and lead software design development standards code reviews and production releasesCollaborate closely with other Software Engineers and AI practitioners across the organizationContinually evaluate emerging AI/ML technologies and scalable architecture patterns to identify opportunities and best practicesWillingness to take an active role in mentoring other developersQualificationsBachelors Degree required from an accredited in-person not for profit university or college5 years of production development experience with building large-scale mission-critical applicationsStrong understanding of modern scalable design patterns and distributed systems architectureHands-on experience with AWS services including Lambda SQS DynamoDB S3 and other core AWS resourcesProficiency with Terraform for infrastructure as codeExperience with Docker and containerization technologiesStrong understanding of CI/CD pipelines and the full development lifecycleSolid understanding of GenAI concepts and classical machine learning fundamentalsExperience in architecting designing and building event-driven applications in an agile environmentProficiency in unit and performance testingA track record of commitment to previous employersPreferred QualificationsExperience with machine learning libraries (TensorFlow PyTorch scikit-learn Hugging Face Transformers) a plusHands-on experience deploying machine learning models to production a plusExperience building small classifiers or working with model fine-tuning a plus.NET Core development experience a plusExperience with OpenSearch Redis Kafka a plusWhats in it for youWhen you join CoStar Group youll experience a collaborative and innovative culture working alongside the best and brightest to empower our people and customers to succeed.We offer you generous compensation and performance-based incentives.
