Software Engineer (Traffic Infrastructure) at Spectraforce Technologies

Role: Software Engineer (Traffic Infrastructure)Location: RemoteDuration: 6 Months Summary As part of our world-class traffic infrastructure team, you will be at the forefront of managing every HTTP request that reaches to client. You will leverage your software engineering expertise and technical leadership skills to enhance the traffic tier's reliability, security posture, operational rigor, and efficiency. The ideal candidate will have in-depth expertise in DNS, traffic engineering, and routing platforms, along with hands-on experience working with technologies like Envoy, Azure Front Door (AFD), Cloudflare, IPVS, Apache Traffic Server (ATS), HAProxy, and various proxy systems. In this role, we rely on your technical leadership to elevate our traffic tier to the next level. Responsibilities You will act as a domain expert for Traffic Infrastructure at client and own architectural decisionsYou will design, implement, deploy, and maintain traffic routing platforms such as Envoy, Apache Traffic Server (ATS), HAProxy, to optimize global traffic flow.You will partner with customers and leaders to create roadmaps, drive alignments and deliver productsYou will lead and mentor teams, while actively building and operating large scale systemsYou will define, enforce and continuously raise the bar for craftsmanship at client, bringing in best practices from the industryYou will build a culture of innovation, with bias for execution. QualificationBA/BS Degree in Computer Science or related technical discipline, or related practical experience6+ years experience in software design, development, and algorithm related solutions6+ years experience programming in C/C++, Rust, Go, or similar languages2+ years experience hands on experience developing large-scale distributed systems and database2+ years experience in networking technologies such TCP/IP, HTTP, DNS, etc. Preferred Qualifications:MS or PhD and 6+ years of relevant work experienceExperience in building machine learning platforms at large scaleExperience in seamlessly migrating large-scale legacy critical systems working with legacy systems and codebases.Experience working with traffic systems from CDNs to load balancers, routings and beyond.Experience in building and managing traffic infrastructure using open-source software, such as Apache Traffic Server (ATS), HAProxy, or Envoy.
