Senior Sourcing and Contract Specialist Texas Behavioral Health Center
Join our team and help launch the first state psychiatric hospital in Dallas-Fort Worth, where innovative caregivers will make a lasting impact on behavioral health in Texas. The Texas Behavioral Health Center is a newly completed state-funded psychiatric hospital opening in Dallas' Southwestern Medical District that is owned by the Texas Health and Human Services Commission (HHSC) and operated by UT Southwestern Medical Center. When fully operational, the 505,000-square-foot facility will house 292 beds 200 for adult patients and 92 for children and adolescents. As DFW's first state-funded behavioral health hospital, it is designed to deliver state-of-the-art, patient-centered care in a modern and healing environment. The center provides comprehensive behavioral health treatment and features private patient rooms, abundant access to natural light and nature, and thoughtfully designed spaces that promote recovery. The hospital will also provide training to all behavioral health disciplines. This position will be responsible for driving results, meeting deliverables, and owning all stages of the Sourcing/RFP/Proposal/Contracting process as assigned. This will include working collaboratively with internal stakeholders to determine the appropriate response strategy, from initial RFP requirements and compliance analysis through subsequent review stages to final execution and through the life of the contract. This role requires maintaining the integrity and accuracy of Category contracts by working with Sourcing team members, internal stakeholders and independently to keep all materials and data up to date. The primary purpose of the Sourcing Specialist position is to lead the strategic sourcing of goods, equipment, or services. Demonstrates technical procurement knowledge of a broad spectrum of commodities and services pertinent to the assigned category. Interacts with departments and units within the institution in identifying areas of spend optimal for strategic sourcing.

Required Education: Bachelor's degree in science, healthcare, or business-related field Experience: 4 years' experience in contract administration, purchasing, sourcing, and demonstrated intermediate Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Word. Strong knowledge in the review and understanding of legal contracts, terms, and conditions. Licenses and Certifications: Certified TX Contracts Manager (3 attempts at the certification exam, first attempt only covered by UTSW) within 1-1/2 Yrs and CERT TEXAS CONTRACT DEVELOPER (3 attempts at the certification exam, first attempt only covered by UTSW) within 1-1/2 Yrs Preferred Education: Master's Degree Experience: Healthcare related experience. 2 years' experience with pharmacy contracts. Some experience with IT contracts. Prefer proficiency with PeopleSoft, Jagger Sourcing Director, and TCM. Licenses and Certifications: Project Management Prof Cert Upon Hire
