The Senior Sourcing Manager Strategic Initiatives drives enterprise-wide sourcing efforts leads GenAI initiatives and executes high-visibility projects. This role partners closely with the Business Unit Sourcing Leaders and cross-functional leaders to design and implement strategic programs that elevate sourcing maturity streamline processes and leverage technology to drive procurement excellence.The successful candidate will combine strategic thinking operational excellence and strong stakeholder management to lead initiatives spanning strategy analytics process transformation digital enablement capability building sustainability and risk management.Job DescriptionKey responsibilities:Lead sourcing strategic initiatives from concept to execution including but not limited to GenAI projects risk management commodity playbooks should-costing and process excellence agendasLead cross-functional initiatives on digital and GenAI enablement from use case development to deployment learning sessions and change managementDevelop and deliver high-quality materials for executive engagements supplier conferences board meetings ELT reviews leadership meetingsLead and execute CPO-level governance including but not limited to Sourcing Council meetings All-Employee meetings staff meetings and other executive forumsLead and facilitate people and capability building initiatives such as GenAI learning sessions talent upskilling trainings sourcing foundation trainingsConduct procurement maturity assessments across all Business Units and proactively engage sourcing leaders to drive continuous improvementServe as thought partner to leadership by synthesizing insights benchmarking industry best practices and identifying future growth opportunitiesRequired qualifications:Bachelors degree in supply chain business or related disciplineFor Roles in USA: 10 years of experience in Sourcing Procurement Strategy or Management Consulting ideally within industrial or energy sectorsFor Roles Outside of the USA: Significant experience in Sourcing Procurement Strategy or Management Consulting ideally within industrial or energy sectorsProven track record in driving cross-functional transformation programs with measurable business impactStrong analytical and problem-solving skills with experience in data-driven decision making digital tools and process optimizationExcellent communication presentation and storytelling skills for executive-level engagementAbility to manage multiple high-visibility projects simultaneouslyAbility to influence across matrixed organization and manage multiple stakeholders globallyExperience with lean category management cost modelling digital procurement automation and data analytics is a plusEligibility RequirementsFor USA Candidates: GE will only employ those who are legally authorized to work in the United States for this opening. The Company pays a geographic differential of 110% 120% or 130% of salary in certain areas.
